Packing down to the size of a travel pillow, this is the most compact, one-person tent we’ve ever seen! But how could it be so small? Well, the answer is in the name.
Without any poles of its own, the ingenious Topeak Bikamper uses the front forks of any 26 inch mountain bike or 700c road bike to hold it up. It’s the perfect cover for anyone sheltering from the elements on a long ride, or even camping out overnight.
The body of the tent is made from water-resistant urethane-coated 45D ripstop nylon (yes, that stuff), while the fly is made of completely waterproof 70D ripstop nylon – making it incredibly lightweight. However, with its three-season rating the Bikamper is tough enough to withstand all but the harshest conditions (at least until the morning). What’s more, it makes sure no-one pinches your ride while you catch a quick forty winks.
The main body is constructed of water-resistant urethane coated 45D ripstop nylon and features three mesh panels for ventilation and stargazing on pleasant nights. The fly is constructed of fully waterproofed 70D ripstop nylon for additional protection should the weather turn foul. Both tent and fly pack down to a small, space saving size. Bikamper packs down to a compact size and has its own special stuff sack that straps to the handlebars.
