In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a video, if no one else has taped them, and if you remember how good it was, now you can get The A-Team.

Watching the pilot (with a bloke called Tim Dunigan playing Face. Who he?) and the first episode proper, itÂ’s obvious that this was destined for greatness. Four fantastic characters played by three great actors and Mr T - who was just being Mr T - plus the bit where they all get locked in a random shed containing enough parts to build a fully equipped getaway vehicle. Utterly brilliant.
