Here at Firebox HQ, we spend a lot of time with our hands on our hips; scanning the horizon for cutting-edge design
and dazzling new technology. But every now and then a product comes along that plays merry hell with our composure.
Causing the latest outbreak of giddy squeals and badly-executed acrobatics (several members of the Customer Service team are still missing after the human pyramid collapsed) is the Sagemcom Sixty Cordless Telephone
. Effortlessly pairing modern functionality with the classic looks of a vintage telephone, the Sixty manages to look high-tech and timeless all at once.
In the base unit the tactile keypad surrounds a lavish LCD touchscreen
– all inside a chrome dial. Displaying the time (and numerous other functions) when not in use, the screen lets you easily access your phone book, messages, and phone settings
. What’s more, it’ll flash up the caller ID when a call comes in.
Far cooler than contemporary cordless phones, the Sixty’s lightweight handset
has the vintage feel of a classic telephone receiver (but a significantly larger range). Elegant and simple, it’s comfortable to hold, or even nestle against your shoulder while you’re cooking, vacuuming, or backflipping. Allee-oop!
