No wonder half the population bought that book about fly-fishing by JR Hartley. Following several botched attempts, we've realised fishing isn't as easy as it looks; fiddly reels, knotted lines, bungled cast offs - it's enough to put you off fish fingers for life.
So thank goodness for the Rocket Fishing Rod. This idiot-proof rod makes all that casting-off business a doddle, as it is capable of fairly accurately firing its line over 30ft with a just quick pump of its handle. This means novice anglers won't have to perform any of those daft flicking movements that invariably result in the accidental whipping off of the vicar's toupee or the removal of Barbara Windsor's bra. (Well they do in old Carry On films).
You see the Rocket's easy-to-cast pump-action launch system allows you to simply point and shoot. A safety float all but eliminates snags by hiding the hook until it hits the water. And once the float lands, a nifty compartment opens to drop the lure/bait to the desired depth. There's even a safety catch to avoid misfires. Clever, eh? Any easier and you might as well head straight down the chippy.
Armed with a Rocket Fishing Rod you'll be casting off in seconds, safely and accurately. And here's the good bit - it really works. We know nothing about fishing but on a recent Firebox outing to the countryside (okay, the pond) we still managed to catch a couple of, erm…well, don't ask us what they were but they tasted all right with a splodge of ketchup.
Ideal for novice anglers, kids or anyone else who wants to have a go at fishing but can't be bothered flailing around with a regular rod, the robust Rocket is destined to become the rod of choice for casual fisherman everywhere. So don't just cast off, blast off!
