Free Offer:

We know you'll love this product. We also know you'll inevitably smash it into a couple of walls at some point, so we're giving away a spare set of rotors worth £9.95 FREE with every purchase of a Bladerunner II Helicopter. How nice are we? (Offer valid while stocks last.)

Now, you too can join luminaries such as Prince Andrew, TC off Magnum and, er, Noel Edmonds by piloting your very own swanky helicopter. Okay, so you won't be able to nip over to St Tropez, harass Higgins in Hawaii or whisk Mr Blobby to his next signing session, but you will be able to take control of a sleek and nifty R/C chopper without having to apply for a mortgage.

BladeRunner II Helicopter Up until now, R/C helicopters have been either "tricky" to control OR prohibitively expensive. And fiddly controls and thrashing blades have always made indoor 'copter flight a bit of a no-no. And flying an RC chopper in your front room is even sillier than riding a bicycle around the bathroom, isn't it? Well no, because the state-of-the-art BladeRunner II has been specifically designed for indoor use.

BladeRunner II Helicopter Ingenious counter-rotating co-axial blades give this light but rugged aircraft supreme manoeuvrability, allowing wannabe Jan Michael Vincents (ask your dad) to take-off, land, hover, fly up, down, backwards, forwards, left and right with the greatest of ease. Indeed, the BladeRunner II's stability is truly staggering. Turbulence ahead? We think not!

BladeRunner II Helicopter The BladeRunner II Helicopter is the finest entry-level chopper we've ever seen, and even the most maladroit wannabe pilot should be able to get this baby off the ground. It's an extraordinarily lightweight (under 50 grams) helicopter that is totally safe and can convert any indoor environment into a cool chopper circuit!. Tetherless and powered by state of the art rechargeable onboard LiPo battery pack, it's perfect for indoor flight.

BladeRunner II Helicopter Best of all, most homes are crammed with obstacles for you to hone your skills around: landing pads (coffee tables), rainforest canopies (the pot plant in the corner), sweeping canyons (that bit between the sofa and the wall) and perilous mountain terrain (the stairs). And now with the super-bright front search light and green flashing strobe mounted underneath, you can disrupt the darkness in your home and practice your night-time flying tricks.

The funky-looking BladeRunner II is ready to fly straight out of the box. All you have to do after take-off is fine-tune the torque level via a nifty little trim slider. Once you've found the perfect balance you're ready for aerial manoeuvres.

BladeRunner Helicopter

Simply charge it from the mains and you're away. With flight times of between 3-7 minutes after a 20 minute charge you'll soon be completing obstacle-packed circuits of your home or office in no time. And we really mean that, as the BladeRunner II is not some ridiculously- impossible-to-control 'copter. It moves exactly the way you command it to.

BladeRunner II Helicopter For £60 you're not getting a state of the art, fuel guzzling, iron beast of a 'copter. What you do get is unsurpassable sub-ton flying fun.

In fact, we're so excited by the BladeRunner II we haven't even had time to make any rubbishy references to its cinematic namesake. Time to fly!

Features:
  • Up to 10 minutes flying time from a 20 minute charge. (Initial flying time will be shorter - around 3 mins after the first charge - but this will extend with after a few cycles of the battery)
  • Can hover and fly with precision control.
  • Complete 3-channel proportional control and manoeuvrability - ready to fly forwards or backwards, up or down, rotate left or right.
  • The unique co-axial rotor design has counter rotating propellers that provide unprecedented flight stability.
  • It's an extraordinary lightweight (under 50 grams) helicopter that is safe and it can convert any indoor environment into a cool chopper circuit!
  • Tetherless and powered by state of the art rechargeable onboard LiPo battery pack, it's perfect for indoor flight.

Top Tips for controlled flying:
  • After a period of inactivity, the "Up/Down" control will have to be moved twice in order to take off - this is a safety feature, not a fault!
  • Take off and level out at a manageable height. The BladeRunner II will spin slowly, indicating the "trim" control needs to be set. Adjust the trim until the helicopter stops spinning round - you're ready to fly!
  • Your BladeRunner II will fly longer the more you play with it - the memory on the battery kicks in and it will retain more charge after a few charging cycles.

Please note:
  • Comes complete with r/c transmitter, flight battery, charger, instructions and spare rotor set.
  • 9V volt battery needed for the transmitter ( not supplied ).
  • Range up to 20m
  • Frequency: 27mhz

Warning:
  • The BladeRunner II is designed to be used exclusively indoors.
  • Do not attempt to fly the BladeRunner II outdoors.
  • Even seemingly windless days will have small gust of wind that will adversely affect the BladeRunner II's stability.
  • Do not fly the BladeRunner II indoors if any ceiling or floor mounted fans are operating.
  • The BladeRunner II should not be flown close to walls or ceilings, as the spinning rotors cause a suction effect that will pull the helicopter into contact with the surface, causing possible irreparable damage.

Safety precautions for Lithium Polymer batteries:
  • Only charge LiPo batteries on a charger specifically design for LiPo batteries.
  • Never leave charging LiPo cells unattended.
  • It is best to charge LiPo cells in an open space on a non-flammable surface (such as a brick or quarry tile) and away from flammable materials.
  • For long term storage it is recommended that cells are fully charged and then discharged to between 50% and 60% of their capacity.
  • If the pack is involved in a crash or otherwise damaged:
    • Remove the pack from the model.
    • Inspect the pack for damage to the wiring or connections.
    • If necessary dispose of damaged pack.
  • Disposal of LiPo Batteries:
    • Make sure the battery pack is completely discharged ( WARNING- during discharge the battery may become hot ).
    • Allow to cool completely.
    • Dispose of battery in regular rubbish bin.

BladeRunner II modifications:
  • Altering your BladeRunner II will invalidate the warranty. Firebox can not be held liable for damage or injuries sustained as a result of unauthorised modifications designed to improve performance.

visitor avatar I decided to treat myself to this with my birthday money, and I have to say that it has been a worthwhile investment, it took me quite a while to get used to it, but now i'm gonna be buzzin' all of my mates when they come around asking if they can have a go with it, extremely satisfied with the delivery, also very pleased with the "fried eggs" sweets received with the package. Cheers Firebox!

visitor avatar I got this for christmas and it's great, especially flying it at night. I found that by sticking some blu-tac onto the front the helicopter moves forwards and backwards faster.
James Ewin, Chessington - Jun '06
visitor avatar This is a superb piece of kit and one of the best birthday presents I've had in years! Although fairly simple to pick up and fly straight away, most definitely challenging enough to keep any R/C afficionado busy. This should keep me occupied till my next birthday! Thanks Firebox for a brilliant toy and faultless service!

visitor avatar Just received the bladerunner after ordering it at 3. 00pm yesterday. Can't wait to get it home. Sooo tempted to charge it now under my desk and buzz all of my collegues, but I guess the MD won't be too impressed. Thanks once again firebox for quick and safe delivery. Will use you again and again.

visitor avatar I've had this lil' chopper since midday (11pm now) and it's absolutely fantastic. Much much easier to fly than my last 'copter, totally safe and amazingly robust. I've crashed it into nearly everything possible, and all it's needed is two bits of stickytape (my housemate did that), and it flies perfectly :-).
Robin Haswell, Harrogate - Mar '06
visitor avatar I got this helicopter a few weeks ago from firebox.com. It arrived in less than 24 hours - nice one firebox. At first its quite difficult to fly, I demolished a photo frame and a vase, within 2 hours and when I let my wife have a go, she broke the first set of rotor blades within seconds of take off. (thanks for the free spares firebox!). Once you get used to it, it is much easier to control and flys really well, I can buzz family members heads with ease now. A great deal of fun indeed. If you're looking for an indoor RC chopper this is the one for you.

visitor avatar This is great!! I've never been that fond of helicopters before, but now after seeing it on this site and owning one myself I love them. Its the best piece of kit I've had in since Playstation (5 yrs ago). It flys like a drean and it's so easy to fly. It literally flys right out of the box!! I recomend this to anyone who is thinking of buying one. You have done well again firebox!!
