Massage Cushtie

NEW: Massage Cushtie

Having consulted a thesaurus, we've concluded that there simply aren't any words in the English language that adequately describe the indescribably soft and squishy Cushtie. 'Squashie' and 'doughie' are both pretty good, but even words like smooshable, snuggleuppable and squishalicious don't do this amazing pillow justice. And we just made them up!

Short of cuddling a foam fondant in a sea of sponge on the Planet Polystyrene, in a galaxy of bubbles in the doughnut dimension, Cushtie is the most comfortable thing to snuggle into in the entire universe. Indeed, we think it's the most blissfully comfortable pillow ever!

Cushties
The secret to Cushtie staggering squeezability (yes, we made that word up, too) is its gorgeously stretchy outer skin, which encases thousands of super-soft polystyrene micro-granules. This allows Cushtie to mould itself into the shape it's being pressed into - be it your head, hands, face or body. And no matter what you do to Squishties, its bead filling will just squish it back into shape. It really has to be squished to be believed.

Cushties dimensions (L350mm x Dia.160mm) make it an ideal travelling companion. And although it's not as compact, it makes your average blow-up travel pillow seem about as comfy as a jagged breeze-block coated in sandpaper. The immensely huggable Cushtie is great for grabbing forty winks at work, as it brings desk and head together in perfect squishable harmony. If the boss asks what you're doing, simply hand over your Cushtie and watch as another unsuspecting person falls victim to its ludicrously smooshable charms.

Sold in its own swish little carry bag, Cushtie is so comforting you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. Whether you're hugging it in bed, snuggling it in front of the telly, or simply massaging it to relieve stress, Cushtie really is the most mmmm-able, aaahhh-able, zzzzzz-able thing in the whole world!

visitor avatar I have to say I don't know why I haven't reviewed this before!? I've had mine since Dec 2009 And I'm thinking of getting another they are amazing. I suffer from migraines and I get them if I've slept in a funny position but this is brilliant! It supports my neck wonderfully, and although It says not to wash them mine has been in the wash a few times and is still exactly as it was when I bought it, all you have to do is flatten it out as much as possible when drying it. I have to get another one of these as I keep dragging mine from my bed where it is then stolen by my Mum! Anyway much love for the Cushtie!

visitor avatar Firebox, you contradict yourself a bit. In the description and one review reply, you said that Cushties can't be handwashed, but in a different review reply, you said, 'A good old handwash may be the best first option!'. Can they be handwashed or not?
    Ben, Planet Earth - 10th October 2011
Firebox says: Hi Ben, sorry for any previous confusion. The Cushtie should be spot cleaned only and not hand or machine washed.
visitor avatar Up until now, I've always had trouble finding a decent pillow for camping trips. The other reviews seemed to say a Cushtie would be the answer. Having just returned from my trip, I can tell you they are 100% right! It moulds itself to your head so is soft and comfy yet totally supportive. Anyone who's woken up with neck ache 'cause their head sunk through the pillow will know how important that is. I have never slept so well on a camping trip. It also made an incredibly comfortable emergency cushion for sitting on as I’d forgotten my camping stool. Even the bag it comes in is useful. I put it on a chair that had been soaked by the rain so my rear didn't get wet. The Cushtie does it all. Brilliant travel pillow, comfy seat - and keeps your bum dry!
    Andrew, Manchester - 15th August 2011
    Firebox says: Great review Andrew!
visitor avatar I'm thinking of buying a Massage Cushtie for my mum for her birthday but I wondered what you guys at Firebox thought of these?
    Loui, North West - 18th February 2011
visitor avatar What batteries does the Massage Cushtie take? Can you renew them?
    William Taylor, Hastings - 28th January 2011
Firebox says: Requires 3 x AA Batteries (Not included)
visitor avatar Do you have anything that contains lavender that you heat up to help you sleep?
Alex Leighton, St Saviour Jersey - 21st January 2011
Firebox says: Our Cuddly Hotties are gently scented with relaxing lavender to aid restful sleep.
visitor avatar I just got my Cushtie and it is soo comfortable but I'm already having to buy another one because it was claimed as my mum's after she only let me keep it for one day!
    Carmisha, London - 10th December 2010
visitor avatar Cushion arrived this morning (2 days after order)and when I literally touched the cushion I was like... Oh my God! It's sooo comfy :) And the sweets you sent were like my FAVOURITES! The sweets were just as good :) Thanks Firebox!
    Zoe, Scotland - 12th August 2010
visitor avatar Was bought one as a present and as I work as cabin crew, it lives in my crew bag. I always know that I will get a good night sleep in all the hotels as you cant rely on their pillows. Fab stress reliever too lol.
    Pam Morris, London - 3rd May 2010
visitor avatar These things are awesome! They're so cosy. Originally I had bought one so I could rest my back on it when I was sitting at the computer. Thinking that if I tried sleeping on it as a pillow that it would make my head sweat like an ordinary bean bag would, but it doesn't. It has completely replaced my pillow, haha. I love it.
