House shaped centre piece

House shaped centre piece

Jigsaw enthusiasts are usually thought of in the same context as trainspotters, macramé buffs and avid viewers of Time Team. But perhaps that's because most of us associate jigsaw puzzles with naff images of cutesy kittens, fantasy vistas, dull tourist attractions and twee thatched cottages from an era that never was.

The point being, it's invariably the subject of the jigsaw that lets it down, not the puzzle itself. For this very reason, your genre-reinventing friends here at Firebox are proud to unveil what we believe to be the next generation of jigsaws.

Postcode Puzzles
Postcode Puzzles

Postcode Puzzles are unique, 255 or 400 piece map jigsaws centred on a place of YOUR choice. Simply give us the full postcode of the property you'd like at the centre of your puzzle - be it your own humble abode or a friend or relative's pad - and leave the rest to us.

Postcode Puzzles

Before you can say "SW2 4RT" we'll send you an utterly absorbing, totally personalised map-based puzzle that will not only test, but also increase your local geographical knowledge. Which can only be a good thing if you're one of those people who have difficulty finding their way home when in an advanced state of refreshment.

All pieces are crafted in high-quality 1.5mm millboard - meaning they'll fit together beautifully like, well, like a jigsaw. The centre piece is even in the shape of a house. What's more, each complete 255 piece puzzle measures a coffee table friendly 35.6cm x 27.1cm (400 piece 47.2cm x 31.2cm )so you won't have to clear away the furniture for floor - based assembly.

Postcode Puzzles are guaranteed to give you a whole new grasp of your local surroundings and provide you with hours of maptastic entertainment. Just remember, we know where you live. Sort of.

Visitor Reviews...

visitor avatar Genius present and came really quick too! Less than a week.
Sally, Basingstoke - Feb '08
visitor avatar Would have bought this only it doesn't cover NI! :o(.
Tricia, NI - Oct '09
visitor avatar A great idea, if only any of them were available in N. Ireland!
Vanessa, N.Ireland - Dec '08
visitor avatar Really original gift idea, and was delivered quicker than 14 days. Photo quality is good, and the overall quality is very professional (not that I'm a jigsaw expert), there was only one snag... As mentioned above the aerial photos are from 1999 - 2000. I ordered one for my father-in-law only to find that his house wasn't built until 2001. So the jigsaw shows a building site where his house will one day be!!!
James M, Plymouth - Dec '07
visitor avatar Great gift. Bought one for my mum and dad for christmas as they moved into a new house this year.
Sarah, Hemel Hempstead, UK - Dec '05

Nic, wigan - Jan '05
visitor avatar My boyfriend bought me a map jigsaw as a gift to celebrate our purchase of a new home. Just the perfect present!
Sarah, London - Nov '03
visitor avatar Ingenious idea! I bought this for my Dad's birthday present and he was absolutely overjoyed. To be fair he's always overjoyed when we give him a present but I really think he actually meant it this year!
Michael, SL7 - Oct '03
visitor avatar I've secretly been a postcode enthusiast all my life. I've been to scared to tell my peers, but with the indroduction of this "up-to-the-minute", "cool" (if that's how young folk decribe things these days) jigsaw, I'm sure that even my grand-children will be interested in my "cool" interests! I think I will buy this: play it with all my family and peers and break the news to them... How cunning of me! Oh, and I do not wish to be compared with trainspotters; and why is viewing Time Team such a 'Taboo'? (if thats how its said, these days)
