This mug is the bomb. It's such a simple idea, and you really have to use it to believe it.
Placed on a flat, smooth surface it locks on and won’t budge if pushed in any direction. Really - a significant amount of force has to be applied to get this thing to come unstuck. A lot.
But, gently lift it up and the mechanism uncouples and it's like it was never stuck. There's no 'pop' and it's not a sucker as such - it only latches when pushed. It's witchcraft.
Make sure the screw top is dry inside and out before sealing the hot drink in - this helps the seal and will stop any stray droplets making a break for it down the side. It seals real nice anyway, but the extra 5 seconds drying this stops any leakage and gives you the confidence to swig away in the whitest of shirts.

Quite clever, but needs a flat surface for it to work effectively, so it does not work on wood, cork, but works well on laminates, metal, marble, glass.
Getting the lid on properly is quite tricky, and, it has fallen off a few times with contents.
The problem is if you fill the cup too much, it seems to interfere with the lid. It feels like the lid will break.
It's a good talking point, it's fun (when sealed securely) to place it horizontally on a laser printer, or a filing cabinet.
