description

Used by Time Lords for over four decades, the Sonic Screwdriver is one of the most iconic and versatile tools this side of planet Jalian 17. Undoubtedly the most masterful handler of this all-powerful tool was the Tenth Doctor; unlocking doors, sinking ships and even triangulating the source of ghoulish ghosts using his trusty device.

Following the incredible success of the Eleventh incarnation and as a result of quite sensational demand, we proudly bring you the Tenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Universal Remote Control.

Packed with all the amazing functionality as before but this time ingenuously housed inside a smaller unit, this advanced, gesture-based remote can be quickly and easily programmed to control almost all home entertainment equipment. Make iPod docks, TVs and DVD & Blu-ray players bow to your every command and gain complete control with a simple flick, twist or tap of your device. Up to 39 remote control codes can be stored at any one time, perfect for those with an affinity for technology and gadgets.

Don’t go thinking this is just another prop copy in terms of design, oh no, it’s galaxies ahead of the pack in that respect too. Painstakingly 3D scanned from the original screen-used prop, loaned by David Tennant himself, the Tenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Remote Control is not only one of the most mind-blowingly impressive pieces of technology you can own, it’s also the closest you will ever come to becoming a fully-fledged Time Lord. That’s right, we said loaned by David Tennant himself. Amazing. Featuring genuine extending action, made using the highest-grade materials and sizing up as a complete 1:1 replica, you’ll feel as though you’re holding the real thing.

Officially licensed by the BBC, FX mode plays authentic special effect sounds from the archives of Doctor Who and the bright illuminating tip will light the way no matter which corner of the Universe you find yourself in. Included too is a die cast metal stand complete with Gallifreyan text inscription which also doubles as a magnet making it the perfect, upright display platform for your prized device. As if all of that wasn't enough you can pop your Tenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Remote Control into its exquisite protective case when not in use, the only way to ensure its safe-passage through time and space.

There's not enough that can be said about this screwdriver. I've read and watched tons of reviews where I expected the product to be beyond amazing, but my god, it's so much better in person. The boys at The Wand Company have really outdone themselves this time, congrats!
Will, Canberra, Australia - 7th November 2013
In one word: Brilliant! It looks amazing, and the build quality is even higher that I expected. Still getting a hand on the gestures, but it's really easy and simple to figure out. To sum it all up: I love my sonic screwdriver, and I can highly recommend it.
Martin, Denmark - 6th November 2013
If anything this is even better that the 11th Doctors version - they have managed to cram everything into something a fraction of the size. The build quality is amazing. The attention to detail is outstanding - even the carry box is beautifully designed. 10/10 (Of course!).
Tom McA, Glasgow - 5th November 2013
This Sonic screwdriver isn't just one of your ordinary wibbly-wobbly, breaky wakey type screwdrivers, it's a work of art that does exactly what it says on the tin! it is tricky to get used to the controls at first but soon you're sleuthing around and getting up to all sorts of mischief, just like that cheeky Doctor Tennant. I found it has difficulty with television brands that aren't as well known but popular models it has no trouble with, although for future reference I might suggest it is a little heavier, for that more premium feel as it's very light! Excellent product! 10/10.
Karl Kerrod, United Kingdom - 5th November 2013
Well, I got mine today. The box is LOVELY for it! I've tried using it to open doors and I thought it worked until my dad came through the front door. Didn't even have to explain he just nodded at me. The use of it as a remote is amazing and I will cherish this for a long time. (Will keep trying it on doors, it has got to work someday right?).
James Wale, England - 4th November 2013
Bought this as a birthday present to myself. Don't be put off by the price tag. Well worth it. Looks and feels great! Also, well worth going into any shopping centre and using the hidden feature where it can turn on most tv sets and running riot on their televisions! Allons-y!
