Darkly brilliant, this collection of curios and drawings is like a mashup of Edgar Allan Poe, Dr. Moreau and Frankenstein’s friends.

Part biography, part gallery, for the first time in history we have full uncensored access to the infamous Dr Black’s magnum opus: The Codex Extinct Animalia: a detailed anatomical study of the world’s most mythological creatures.

Featuring journals, correspondence and illustrations previously thought lost to the world of science, The Resurrectionist provides a remarkable glimpse into the life of this prodigal madman.

Presented in gorgeous hardcover, this tome is a terrifically grotesque gift for fantasy fans.

Customer Reviews

A biography of someone that doesn't exist and anatomical illustrations of creatures that don't exist combined into a tome of utter madness. Weird, macabre and ever so slightly disturbing, what more could you want from a book? Bought it to keep visitors entertained and works like magic. Voodoo style, black magic but magic nevertheless. Great buy, would recommend to anyone that likes their guests to be confused and worried before the poker game starts.

This book is amazing. I am both an anatomy nut as well as a fantasy fan and this is fantastic! The book itself is beautifully made, seems high quality and the anatomical drawings speak to the imagination. Worth every cent!
