Whether you live in an isolated area, love camping or feel a strong urge to prepare for a zombie apocalypse, you need a way to cook your chow.
Thanks to its unique design, the BioLite Camping Stove can cook, heat and charge your electronic devices using only renewable biomass such as twigs, pinecones, wood pellets and other easily obtainable flammable materials.
The ingenious design uses an internal fan to create airflow, which combines with the fuel chamber to create an ultra-efficient combustion fire. The heat generated is converted into electricity using the Power Module which is stored in the lithium ion battery or output to charge smaller devices.

The stove is light and about the same size as a 1L water bottle. You need to charge it before the first use but other than that it charges my iphone 4S at about 1% every ten min or so. Its really easy to start a fire in the sheltered container then once its going you turn on the fan and then its really going. The fire burns so hot and so clean it devours any thing you put inside leaving hardly any ash. It can boil my kettle in under 10 min. A brilliant addition to my camping gear! Firebox says: Great review, you've sold us. Thanks Bruce.
I have followed the life of this product on the internet since it was only an idea. The final camp stove product is now in my collection. Compared with fuel tablets and gas stoves it is bigger and heavier - but I do not have to wonder about how to get fuel. Also, it is the fastest one, it makes a hell of fire from small sticks. Don't forget to pick some dry branches while you are on the trail. The charging feature? It don't have lot's of power, but compared to crank devices it's easier to just put in a bit of fuel :).
