Joffrey poncing about on the Iron Throne

Forged from a thousand enemy swords in the fiery breath of the dragon Balerion the Black Dread, the Iron Throne is the darkly imposing seat of power in King’s Landing. Needless to say we’re pretty excited to be offering Aegon the Conqueror’s favourite chair for sale at Firebox.

Of course, we couldn’t get the actual ‘real’ Iron Throne, because, well, we’d have to invade Westeros and conquer the Seven Kingdoms; and while it’s pretty clear that Joffrey is a bit of a spoiled muppet, his grandfather is a certified badass. Then of course we’d have to consider the implications of the White Walkers, and the potential for the Wildlings to cross the wall, not to mention that there’s a hot chick with some pet dragons intent on stealing our new chair anyway.

Making the Throne

Intricately crafted by robots, from fibreglass and fire rated resin

Also, it’s a completely fictional piece of furniture, which only exists in a fantasy land.

Imminent Ned predicts the future

Luckily, there’s an easier way. So put down your broadsword, call off your direwolves and command your armies to stand down, because for the low, low price of £20,000 you can have your very own (officially licensed) Game of Thrones Replica Iron Throne hand delivered across the narrow seas to your castle by the infamous smuggler, Sir Davos Seaworth.*

This incredible throne is highly limited, so don’t wait, after all… Winter is coming.

*Alternatively, delivery will be handled by an approved courier network.

Beautiful work. But does it recline... ?
Stan Kuiperi, Aruba - 8th August 2013
Firebox says: Hi Stan! The replica follows the real Iron Throne as closely as it can and unfortunately George RR Martin never added a reclining option - much to Robert Baratheon's disappointment I'm sure!
Does it come with iron dog baskets for my direwolves?
Ailsa Maclaclan, Scotland, Stornoway - 17th April 2013
Firebox says: Sadly not Alisa, we are working on it though!
Please I must ask.... Do you make a commode version for that ultimate throne experience? Maybe even add on a toilet roll holder and magazine rack. Bit out of my price range at the moment but love it so much I am starting a throne collection fund. I will have that throne one day!!...Oh yes, mark my words I will!!
Sammi, Norwich - 5th April 2013
Firebox says: Hey Sammi, you could always try putting one of the Shit boxes that we sell under this, hey presto! Your very own commode.
Just had mine delivered and it's beyond awesome!! Had to take the roof of my caravan off to fit it in mind you, but.... Boy, it was worth every penny!
Ned, Aberdeen - 8th January 2013
I was looking at this item and wondered if it was child safe at all. I imagine it has some sharp points. I have 2 small children and fear this may be some kind of risk to them if it were in my house. Do you have Large corks that can be placed on the tips? Also, Could it be fitted with a heated seat and built in foot spa?
DaveTheGeek, United Kingdom - 20th December 2012
Firebox says: We would recommend that children don't use the throne unsupervised. Unfortunately we can't provide any rubber/cork tips but I'm sure you could pick some up very cheaply from a hardware store. In regards to the heated seat and foot spa - a King need not these things! You'll have to customise it yourself if you wish to turn this into a luxurious pamper throne.

Jens Lindholm, Sweden - 19th December 2012
Firebox says: Every little helps Jens. Having a robot build your chair is pretty cool though right?
