Einstein once said: 'I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.' Profound stuff (with Yoda-style wordplay to boot), but clever old AE obviously hadn't considered the multiple advantages of Nerf warfare. After all, being smacked in the face by a squishy Nerf missile is preferable to being cuffed by a lump of radioactive concrete any day of the post-apocalyptic week.

side view With this in mind, may we proudly present the mighty Missile Launcher. This chunkily unsubtle R/C vehicle is armed with a whacking great multiple Nerf missile launcher that rotates independently of its suitably macho, camouflage-clad chassis.

animation The Missile Launcher may look cumbersome but as well as moving forwards, backwards, left and right, it will clamber effortlessly over dastardly obstacles and up steep inclines, up to 30° steep, to be precise!

controller A natty military style radio unit controls this caterpillar-clad behemoth, simply manouver into the desired strategic position, rotate the launcher to line up your target, press the Fire button and cackle manically as said target cowers under a devastating volley of Nerf missiles!

front view closeup Take it from us, it takes a fair amount of skill and dexterity to get all 10 missiles into one upturned bin, but if you can't hit your target you can simply cheat and fire all ten missiles together. And if you do end up nerfing someone by mistake, just steer Missile Launcher into the nearest cupboard, deny all knowledge of its existence and claim that you don't own any toys of mass destruction.

visitor avatar Having watched the first video on here I'm definitely going to get one! That's the best bit of marketing I've seen in a long time! Well worth the time downloading, and looks well worth the £40!

visitor avatar I saw a real MRLS ripple fire 12 rockets & this is almost as cool! Its actually much better than Firebox describes: Firstly its big- about the size of a shoebox. Its also incredibly fast, it doesn't lumber about it charges! Each wheel has independent suspension so rather than climb over objects with its nose high in the air it rolls straight over the top of them without pausing. It can easily climb a 30' slope at speed & rips round our garden. The turret is totally independent of the tank and can be rotated fully. The launcher only elevates to about 40' giving you a fixed range of about 8 feet, but the missiles are accurate. All 10 should land within an 18" circle. You can't depress the launcher once its elevated (except by hand) but this doesn't affect performance at all. You can order a whole range of spares (more missiles, spare tracks & even a new controller) from the manufacturers in the US. The best RC toy I've bought by a long way!

visitor avatar We DID have these during the first Gulf War. The Iraqis called it Black Rain, the British called it the Grid Square Removal System. I'm going to get one when my student loan comes through.

visitor avatar To Klaymen: Denmark, the missiles do fly fairly straight but you can't lower the launcher remotely, you can only make it 'pop up' once remotely. Hope this helps.

visitor avatar This is the Mutts. We have had it in our armoury for a whole 24 hours and already annoyed everybody in the office flattened the battery twice and attached a wireless video feed. Downside is that we bought two hoping to take over the canteen but the frequencies collide, well what do you want for 40 notes?

visitor avatar Brilliant kit and excellent spearhead video! Get one now!!
Robin, Tamworth - Jul '03
visitor avatar Article and example media do not show if "missiles" fly straight and true, or if the launcher can be remotely folded down again. Do they?
