Try as we might, we can’t all be Magnum, PI. But it’s never been easier to get behind the wheel of a Ferrari – at least, a 1:50 scale one anyway.

The iControl Ferrari is an RC car with a difference. Rather than using a plasticky controller, this authentic Enzo replica has a dongle which plugs into your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

Fire up the free app and, if you’re using an iPhone, the device will rumble as if starting the engine. Use the array of controls on the responsive touchscreen and you can effortlessly steer your sleek little sports car. Tilt the Apple gadget and the car will turn, just as if you were turning the wheel. How do you like that, Higgins?
