The iPad. Touchy, tappy, swipey tablet of wonder. But this groundbreaking gadget’s touchscreen can do more than just follow your finger. Did you know, for instance, that it can track and digitally reproduce the touch of a paintbrush? Not any paintbrush, mind, but with the right equipment (and some clever apps) you can actually paint with your iPad. Well the Nomad Brush is just such a bit of kit.

Customer Reviews

If you like drawing and painting and own an iPad then I strongly recommend you get one of these (as well as a stylus like the bamboo). If you mix working with your finger, stylus and this brush you will truly enjoy what you're doing and come up with some really great results which I don't think you could achieve so easily without the brush. You get one long paint brush on one end and can attach a really short one on the other. I was less impressed with the other end as it did feel a little too short and you have to press quite hard to get it to register. You also have to press quite lightly with the long brush end. As for apps I recommend procreate, art rage, art set and art studio.

Will these conductive brushes and styluses work with the Sony Tablet S?
Julian Chapman - 15th March 2012
Firebox says: Hi Julian, These should work with most modern tablets!
Will it work with the blackberry playbook? if so which app would it work with?
Geekdroid - 16th January 2012
Firebox says: Hey, the supplier was able to confirm that this item will work with the blackberry playbook. The app selection for painting and drawing is however quite limited.
Fantastic! Now all I need is an iPad.
