The cutters

The cutters

Take your baking to the next level with the Make Your Own Gingerbread House kit. This clever set of cookie-cutters lets you bake the walls and roof pieces and then simply slot them together. Once the walls are up and the roof is on, it’s up to you to decorate it. Use icing to stick on your favourite sweets or simply add interesting details.

Its a great way to keep the kids busy and (depending on your skill) the completed house would make a great Christmas gift or table decoration. That is, if you can keep from nibbling it.

Visitor Reviews...

visitor avatar Hi, I am the inventor of this productn and it makes me so happy to see the positive reviews. I would recommend continued purchases from this site (they are actually cheaper here), but please feel free to look at the instructions at our website, cutterkit.Com. These are new, and a lot better. Oh, and Tim from Portishead, Bristol, I would recommend slightly thinner pieces next year :) Recipes are on the website and in the kit box. Thanks.

visitor avatar My sister is buying me this as part of my xmas and I was planning on making it on xmas day for the table decoration at night. Would someone be able to tell me the ingredients I will need to buy to make this happen since no shops will be open on xmas day I will need to buy them in beforehand? Thanks.

Firebox says: Sorry Lesley, we'd love to recommend a recipe for you, but we don't know the first thing about gingerbread-based architecture, and we wouldn't want to lead you astray with bad advice! But if there are any domestic gods/goddesses among you Fireboxers with a great gingerbread recipe, please send in your recipes (also feel free to send samples)!
visitor avatar Kit comes with easy gingerbread recipe which makes house plus enough dough for extra decorations. I cut out about 15, 2" stars out of leftover gingerbread to use as decorations on the roof. Roll the dough out very thin on wax proof paper, cut out your shapes, remove excess dough, slide paper onto your baking tray and you are sorted. You have to repress the part baked shapes about 3 minutes in to cooking to trim away excess that has puffed up, but I still found I needed icing to hold the house together. Still, having the pieces fit together like a puzzle, means that you don't need lots of extra supports in place whilst you are waiting for the icing to dry. Can be decorated the same day you bake the pieces. Great item I'll be using for years to come!

Firebox says: Hi Kimmy, great review and great tips! If only they'd make a life-size version now......
visitor avatar The kit seems daunting when it arrives but if you follow the instructions (these are not very descriptive inside the pack so best to have a look on their website) to a 'T' then you will end up with a perfect load of pieces that slot together easily. Looks very impressive :o).

visitor avatar This kit seems a little complicated when you first open the box but after watching the instructional video recommended on the instructions it was so easy. It made a great gingerbread house that fitted together easily with no icing holding it together would recommend to anyone.
