Geomag
The marvellous, magnetic, modular plaything
Sorry, this product is not available.
If you've ever fancied yourself as a bit of an Isambard Kingdom Brunel-type, but just couldn't face the prospect of being caught playing with Sticklebricks, Geomag is definitely for you. This ingenious modular construction system is made up of interconnecting magnetic bars that can be built into complex 3-dimensional models such as cubes, pyramids, and even dodecahedric spheres (and before you ask - no, we don't know what they are either).
The sleek and contemporary "executive" sets are available as 60 or 96 piece sets, and feature a stylish metallic finish in a very fetching and understated shade of blue - a real bonus, as no CEO worth his salt wants to be caught toying with a primary-coloured plaything when he should be using his bin for screwed-up job-application target practice.
For those of you who couldn't give a jot what other people think of your hobbies, or just prefer your constructions to be bright and cheery, we also stock the brightly coloured 42-piece box set of Geomag - great for first timers or those wishing to expand their existing system. (Take it from us - there's nothing worse than running out of bits just as your Eiffel Tower's nearing completion). Be warned though, you might start with a small set, but before you know it you'll be craving more!
Geomag also acts as a great stress reliever/executive toy and looks just as cool, cerebral and sophisticated sitting on a post-millennial desk as those Newton's Cradle ball swinging thingies did back in the last century.
Whatever version you choose, Geomag is guaranteed to keep you occupied during those brief lulls in the day (usually between nine and five) and is sure to reignite that childish but edifying compulsion to build, fiddle and play.
More Info
Each Geomag set is comprised of:
- Spheres - made from nickel-plated steel and 12.7mm in diameter
- Plastic bars - 27mm long and 7.4mm in diameter, comprising of two permanent magnets at each end connected by a steel pin
- Instruction booklet
Connect a magnetic bar to a sphere - then add more bars and spheres to make two and three dimensional shapes. See booklet for examples.
Please note:
- Geomag is not suitable for use by children under 6 years old - sphere and bars are small enough to be swallowed by children and could present a choking hazard.
- The bars contain strong magnets, so keep away from credit cards, colour televisions, computer monitors, audio and video cassettes and floppy disks.
- Avoid contact with liquids and keep in a dry place. (Geomag this is, not yourselves. They're made out of metal and don't like the wet.)

Arrived yesterday, GF wondered why I'd spent money on 'toys' but came home tonight to find a pyramid built, yep she's been playing with 'em, now she's teaching me how to build stuff :D
Ha Ha I've got my Palm Plane tucked away at work where my gorg GF can't get her mits on it.Jonfp, Cheshire - 21st July 2007
Over the last year I've slowly built up a collection of this stuff, but its never enough! Its just insane, it gets everyone going. And its pratical too. Currently I have my keys, necklesses and other bits and bobs being held up by it. The only downfall is the ball to bar ratio, once you start building up your collection you have a lot of excess spheres as each sphere can hold up to 14 different sticks. But it is a great present any time of the year, in any colour. All of them are vibrant and with the new addition of the customisable panel set + Geomag game out, you'll have endless hours of fun!Kinjal, London - 6th December 2005
These things are amazing im ordering more soon. They come in really handy when i managed to drop a ball into the printer, i just got a magnetic stick and the ball popped back out.Paul H, Liverpool, UK - 15th January 2005
I bought a small set for my son (25 years old) for Christmas and he tells me he hasn't stopped playing with it since. I am purchasing a larger set for his birthday this month. It is addictive!Margaret, Ascot - 10th January 2005
I bought Geomag 2 years ago for my then 7yo son for Christmas. Other toys have come and gone in his life but he has never got tired of playing with his Geomag which has become more of a family thing then just his. I have come on here to buy some more for him for this christmas and have just also noticed the panels that are now available and have just purchased those as well. Its a great product that you will never grow out of, infact your more likely to grow into it and the only thing that changes with it is your imagination. Fantastic product that I can recommend to anyone old or young.Shaun, Hull, England - 19th November 2004
This has got to be the best toy since Lego. I got a 42 piece set recently and now need more sets - xmas is only a short time away.Barry, Newcastle Upon Tyne - 9th November 2004

Having gone on holiday to the Lake District, I bought a box of Geomag to keep me interested. It's amazing! You can create an endless array of designs and spinning things! To my dismay, I came home to find Firebox are selling it cheaper! Suppose I'll just have to buy another box...Stuart Gilbertson, Edinburgh, UK - 11th July 2004
WOW :) These things are so so much fun! i got one set and it just wasnt enough within days i had ordered more so i could build bigger better structures! Seriously addictive!Alex, Leicestershire - 29th May 2004
Try placing one of the balls on the floor, getting you and a friend sitting equal distances away. Now take turns in throwing the sticks on to the ball. The winner is the person with the most sticks connected or least sticks left if they are all the same colour. Obviously play with the same number each.James D, Isle Of Man - 12th April 2004
