Call yourself a vampire hunter? You can’t unless you’ve been to Transylvania because this place is genuine Dracula territory. But there’s no point visiting the place unless you’ve got an itinerary worth getting your teeth into – and here it is in the blood-suckingly enthralling form of our Three Night Dracula's Castle Adventure in Romania.

An ideal gift for any vampire fan, this fascinating break for two will take you to the heart of Transylvania, where you’ll visit the legendary Bran Castle, a fortified outpost once frequented by Vlad the Impaler, celebrated psychopath and inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula. You’ll also explore the charming medieval town of Brasov and visit the crumbling ruins of Rasnov Fortress, followed by lunch at Wolf Restaurant. ‘Mmm, B-negative.’

The next day (assuming you haven’t been condemned to a living death for all eternity) you’ll travel back to Bucharest via Sinaia and beautiful Peles Castle, former home of the Royal Family. Now where’s that garlic necklace…

Agenda
Day 1- Arrival in Bucharest and transfer to hotel.
Day 2- Travel to Transylvania, visiting Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) and Rasnov Fortress, as well as enjoying lunch at Wolf Restaurant.
Day 3- Visit Sinia, where you'll receive a tour of Peles Castle before enjoying lunch and transferring back to Bucharest.
Day 4- Transport to the airport, leave Bucharest.
This trip includes all accommodation on a B&B basis, all transfers, welcome drink, Multilingual reps. Please note that travel to Romania from the UK is not included.

I love the way this trip is described and had a good laugh at the brazen blurring of facts and fiction. But, Hey! imagination can take us many places. . I know the area well and Bran Castle is hauntingly beautiful and far from being sinister or creepy. Vampires will be in short supply but, your memories of the stunning scenery and the warmth of the Romanian people are something that you will bring back with your souvenirs. In my opinion, this trip sounds excellent value for money. Just, take tea bags if you like a decent cuppa, expect simple fare and enjoy the trip. Drum Bun !
