SiPix have done the unthinkable and improved on (almost) perfection. The new Snap is the successor to the best-selling Blink, and now features a Super Capacitor (which protects your photos if the battery dies), faster photo registration and TRUE video. It can store a huge 400 shots on its 8MB onboard memory, and is powered by just one AAA battery.
Available in metallic silver, this sleek camera is destined to be the must have gift for many a Christmas stocking this year.
Perfect for taking pictures to email friends, the SNAP measures an incredibly small 55x50x13mm. The SNAP is so unbelievably compact, weighing in at just under 30g, that you may even forget you have it in your pocket!
In addition to looking great, its massive storage facility and its amazingly low price, the SNAP doubles as a web cam when connected to a PC via the USB interface, letting the user "talk" to friends virtually face-to-face.
The SNAP is able to capture over 160 seconds of consecutive snaps in "streaming snapshot" mode, which can be merged together into a video file using ArcSoft, the extensive software package provided with the SNAP.

"Another impressive effort from the SiPix camp..."VNUnet.com - Dec '02
"...we couldn't help falling in love with SiPix's £40 Blink camera. This new version, the Snap, is a wee bit smaller with a better lens. Hurrah!"T3 - Oct '02

This camera is great! It's tiny, takes good pictures and streaming video. If you can afford it though get the newer model (Stylecam Deluxe) which has sound and a flash because these are the only 2 things missing from the Stylecam Snap. But for only £40 it definitely isn't bad.Jon, England - Jul '03
This is an excellent camera. All the photos I have taken have turned out well as long as they are taken in natural light. The video feature is fun too, the quality of the video is much better than i thaught. I'll send some pics and video in soon. Installation was easy on my sisters laptop and home pc (win 2000) and my pc (win98).Richard Watsham, - May '03
I know what you're thinking, you're thinking "naw its a cheep wee camera so the quality will be crap" not so THIS IS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD! it even comes with photo editing software. buy one now!Jumpin Jack Flash, Glasgow - Apr '03
The quality of the images arn't fantastic but enough to see whats going on in the scene. I'm happy with it anyway, couldn't of spent 40 quid on anything better.stuey, london - Feb '03
A good laugh! But that's as far as it goes. Needs lots of light for it to even agree to take pics. Simply devours batteries (always keep a spare one with you!) Put in a new battery, went out, got home and pics are all gone. Superb for amusing your friends but not for saving any precious moments. Software great for messing about with pictures! For Dan in London: snapped the battery cover after first few times!Carmela, Edinburgh - Jan '03
Spent ages lookin for a little gadget camera. Nearly bought a L'Espion til I saw this! Pics are surprisingly good quality for the size and price especially outdoors. It wont take a pic unless there's enough light which helps. However had some trouble installing software on my outdated Win98 1st Edition PC so had to send it back, Sob!Hatty Muncey, Cambridgeshire - Jan '03
It takes some getting used to at first and needs bright illumination and a steady hand for indoor pics. Outside it is much better. As others have stated, it is a fun 'snap' camera only. Mine goes everywhere with me in my pocket. I sometimes forget it's there it's that small.Matty, Surrey - Jan '03
Yep, nice and cheap. Bad light? Crap pictures. Good light, fine pictures. Eats batteries but leave the USB cable in and it'll REALLY eat your batteries. Good fun, but not for serious photographers (as if you hadn't realised that already)Russ Barker, Brighton - Jan '03
Got the snap on christmas day, amazed by the size of it, impressed by it turning its self off to save power and how it knows not to take a pic in low light, had to wait till the support line was working after new years to get the software working, but was able to d/load 55 xmas day pics. Pics are a very lmited quality but its a 40 quid pocket cam. p.s. have SiPix got shares in duracell?.Vinny.F., Herts. - Jan '03
I bought this little cam for my boyfriend for Christmas cos it seemed like a wicked little pressie. Got it working with still pics no probs, but like everyone says the indoor ones are a bit naff! The main prob is that we can't seem to get the webcam or video function working on 2 seperate pcs, one working XP, the other ME. It's also been tried 98. Since reading these reviews, gonna ring the helpline, see if we can't get it working cos it's such a great little gadget if we could! Cheers guys for the tip about the helpful Sipix people!!Liz, Birmingham - Jan '03
