Crux360 for iPad 2 and iPad 3
Turn your tablet into a tabletop
Sorry, this product is not available.
Make your iPad2 even more versatile
This lightweight clamshell case still gives you all the functionality of the iPad 2, but with the added benefit of a full Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard. Not only will it protect your iPad from day-to-day knocks and bumps, but unfold it and it’ll turn your iPad into the world’s slimmest laptop. A tablaptop, if you will. Or maybe a tabletop? We digress.
The design of the Crux360 ensures that all of the iPad’s ports are accessible. And using Apple’s smart-cover technology, it’ll switch the iPad on and off when you open the case – conserving the iPad’s battery life. With four different ways to use the Crux360 (laptop mode, movie mode, tablet mode and carry mode) it’s perhaps the most versatile way to use your iPad on the move.

This case is not at all what it seems. The keyboard is quite small and the keys are all squished together. Slipping the iPad2 on the case is not as easy. Get rid of your screen protection - which I was not happy with - or the iPad2 will not fit since the case is too tight. Once you get it in, you cannot get it out. I almost broke my nails trying to remove the iPad2, which made me quite upset. I wonder why Crux made a case so tight that it is practically impossible to use. Some people complained about the fact that the back of the case has a big opening, leaving the iPad2 unprotected, to which I agree with. However, the big opening has one advantage: it serves as a lever to pull the iPad2 out. When trying to loosing up the lid a little bit, I ended up breaking it, so I can't retun it. .Jaicy, The Netherlands - 20th May 2012

I can confirm this product does not fit the iPad3/"new iPad" very well at all I returned it for a full refund and Firebox said they were going to change the details on site to reflect this, weeks later still selling it and stating it's suitable for the iPad3.Steven Baker, Solihull - 30th April 2012
Firebox says: Hi Steven, Thanks for letting us know, I will get the tech team on it asap!
Can you confirm that It's the latest version of the Crux 360 (named Delta) made specifically for Ipad3?Bernardo Cicchetti, Italy - 9th April 2012
Firebox says: Hi, This is not the Delta, but we have been told it will fit the new iPad!
Hi, Please can you tell me if this is designed to work with the new iPad(3)?
I have took a look at the iPad specs and the new iPad(3) is 0. 6mm deeper than the iPad 2. I would like to know if the case will fit the new iPad(3).
Many thanks.Adrian, Nuneaton - 30th March 2012
Firebox says: Hi, Unfortunately it doesn't fit the iPad 3 well.

Hi Firebox
It was great that you sent images to Matthew Shaw, but could you please add them to the site so we can all see them? Does the keyboard have a right shift key? How far does the screen swivel - 180 or 360 degrees? And does it work with the iPad3? Thanks.Joel Rendle, Harrogate - 1st March 2012
Firebox says: Hi Joel, there are a few more images/info here:
http://cruxcase.com/products/crux360-for-ipad-2/
Doesn't look like it has the right shift key, no. This is designed specifically for the iPad2, I imagine the iPad3 will be even thinner when it is announced in a few days.
Hello, do you have any more images of this? And does it have short cut keys for the ipad like home button, copy and paste?
I need to see more of it to hand over money to purchase the product.
Many thanks,
Matty :).Matthew Shaw, United Kingdom - 20th October 2011
Firebox says: Hi Matty! Thanks for your enquiry! I can confirm it does have short cut keys, including Home, Copy and Paste. With the regards to additional images, please check your inbox!
Does this work with the first gen. IPad ?Aaron, Antrim, Northern Ireland - 10th October 2011
Firebox says: Hi Aaron, I'm afraid this Crux360 is specifically designed for the iPad2 and won't work with the first generation iPad.
