Holds over half a litre of water!

If, like us, you frequent the finest Michelin starred restaurants in the world (ok, small fib) you’d notice that water is always served in those stylish skinny bottles and it seems to taste miles better. Why oh why is that? Well, pure glass is taste-neutral so there’s no plastic tang affecting your beverage, plus it doesn’t contain any of the nasty chemicals you find in your usual plastic bottle.

Now you don’t have to go anywhere fancy (apart from Firebox) to enjoy the benefits of pure, refreshing water, as the Takeya Glass Water bottle has arrived! Not only does it look seriously stylish, it’s lightweight enough to carry around with you, keeps your water pure and fresh, and its silicone jacket protects the bottle so you can grip-and-go. Holding 50cl of water, this airtight and leak-proof cool container is perfect for swigging on the move.

Four colours of bottle

Available in 4 colours (from l-r): Natural, Ice Blue, Black Mist and Green

The Takeya Glass Water bottle helps you do your bit for the planet too, as it can be used over and over and won’t end up in a landfill, or take 450 years to decompose like those pesky plastic bottles. Plus, we reckon you’ll save a few bob ditching your regular bottle habit and switching to the classier alternative. Pure glass!

Customer Reviews

Wouldn't it break straight away if you accidentally drop it?
Scarlett - 14th February 2012
Firebox says: We wouldn't advise dropping it but it should survive the odd bump as the glass is pretty tough and the silicon jacket provides quite a bit of protection.
As much as I liked the idea before I purchased it, it's pretty much a bust for me. While it looks cool and seemingly a good idea, you're paying £20 for what's essentially a glass tube with a plastic cap and a silicone casing. This isn't as portable as you might think, it is quite chunky and large to lug around especially when it's full. Also, the cap can be bit of a fuss to remove but the casing is the worst. The silicone picks up little bits of fluff and dust from anything and can only be removed with a good wash, but do you really want to wash it every 5 minutes? Also, I don't know if it's due to any sterilization but the initial smell it emits is unlike any other I've smelt, so make sure you give it a good wash before you start using.

Firebox says: Hi Eric, we're sorry to hear that you weren't a big fan of the Takeya Water Bottle, but everyone's entitled to their opinions. We always recommend giving all mugs and bottles a very good wash before he first use. If you're not satisfied with your product and would like to return it you can always get in touch with us at
