Wouldn't it break straight away if you accidentally drop it?Scarlett, Manchester - 14th February 2012
Firebox says: We wouldn't advise dropping it but it should survive the odd bump as the glass is pretty tough and the silicon jacket provides quite a bit of protection.
As much as I liked the idea before I purchased it, it's pretty much a bust for me. While it looks cool and seemingly a good idea, you're paying £20 for what's essentially a glass tube with a plastic cap and a silicone casing. This isn't as portable as you might think, it is quite chunky and large to lug around especially when it's full. Also, the cap can be bit of a fuss to remove but the casing is the worst. The silicone picks up little bits of fluff and dust from anything and can only be removed with a good wash, but do you really want to wash it every 5 minutes? Also, I don't know if it's due to any sterilization but the initial smell it emits is unlike any other I've smelt, so make sure you give it a good wash before you start using.Eric Cheung, Alnwick, United Kingdom - 17th November 2011
Firebox says: Hi Eric, we're sorry to hear that you weren't a big fan of the Takeya Water Bottle, but everyone's entitled to their opinions. We always recommend giving all mugs and bottles a very good wash before he first use. If you're not satisfied with your product and would like to return it you can always get in touch with us at info@firebox.com
