Catit Fresh & Clear Drinking Fountain
Come back, cat!

Fit the parts together
and fill with water
Like a fresh mountain spring in your kitchen, the Catit Fresh & Clear Drinking Fountain circulates up to 3 litres of tap water. A multistage filtration process makes sure that the water is always kept clean, aerated and cool – tasting far fresher than if it was left to stagnate in a typical drinking bowl.
All of this, plus the raised drinking position, makes drinking far easier and more enjoyable for your cat; and encourages them to keep coming back for more.

I am very tempted by this but there is one concern, is it motion activated? Does the pump stay on all the time?? Can you use batteries? All these vital pieces of information are missing from he product description.G, Coventry - 27th November 2011
Firebox says: I own two of these and they're awesome. One upstairs for the cats and one downstairs for the dog, although they all share anyway. They run continuously from the mains and are not motion activated. If your worried about energy usage you could always plug in a timer to the wall socket but my animals do like to have access to constant fresh running water.
Our cat has had this for a few weeks now and she loves it. She is definitely drinking for longer and more frequently than she did from a bowl, which is what we hoped. The only negative I'd say is the cable is a little short at just over 1 metre. The hum of the pump isn't very loud and if you have this in or near a kitchen, the sound will be quieter than a fridge. Another plus point for me is the pump can be taken apart (and there are instructions for this), so those in hard water areas will be able to keep it from furring up.Justin, Cambridge - 23rd August 2011
Can this be used for a beagle? will there be one for dogs coming out soon?
Thanks !!Madhvi, London - 17th August 2011
Firebox says: These are also suitable for small dogs, so we should think your Beagle would love it too (just don't tell him it was made for cats!)
My 14 week old kitten loves this fountain, it's very quiet, easy to assemble and looks great. A wonderful purchase for anyone who has a cat or kitten who is fussy about their water.Elena Bridge, United Kingdom - 11th August 2011
