Micro Racers are the smallest radio controlled cars in the world, and when we say small we really do mean it. In fact, if it wasn't for the aerial you could easily fit a couple of Micro Racers into your mouth, (not a good idea; they taste plasticky). Quite how the boffins have managed to cram the necessary electronic bits and bobs inside each car is beyond us. (Mind you, we're still trying to work out why humming the music to Knight Rider and commentating in a childish, profanity-riddled American accent makes them go faster).
Each Micro Racer is so incredibly tiny it can't accommodate batteries (even a single AAA wouldn't fit), so the clever clogs designers have made the cars rechargeable. Simply clip the vehicle onto its nifty charging station and Nigel's your uncle!
The good news is charging time is only around 60 seconds. The bad news is... well, there isn't any, as the cars will run for over 6 minutes per charge. Besides, you'll need at least 60 seconds to catch your breath after playing with a Micro Racer – they really are that amazing.
For their dinky size the cars are surprisingly responsive and you can imagine the fun there is to be had zooming around the office with them. Everyday objects become handy obstacles with a car this size so the possibilities are endless. The Chasm of Doom is our current favourite - one ruler, two paper cups and a river of scrunched up paper. Best of all, Micro Racers are available in lots of different frequencies, so racing against your mates is easy.
For the ultimate in micro-racing action you'll be wanting the 3 Car Race Pack. It contains three different colour/frequency combinations and more than enough FREE batteries to get them all going. Oh - you'll also save well over £15 (and that's not even counting the free batteries!).
Even when not in use these micro marvels will look great perched on your desk and are small enough to hide in your top pocket should the boss come snooping. Micro Racers: they are small and they are clever.

Well...been into r/c cars for about 18 years. And must say that I really like these small things. Built a track too and even bought another car to have something to race with. =). Fast and furious, especially when I changed battery from 80mAH to 150mAH.=)).
Cool, fun and great.

A great thing to do in the office is put 2 desks close together with a gap between and make a jump using a ruler and some books and try and jump the gap.(You may want to put some soft stuff on the floor if it doesn't make it.) John, Cornwall - Sep '02
Suddenly the Kitchen has become an obstacle course for my Micro Racer, briliant fun. We've even managed to do 'the wall of death' in our wok. Try it, you'll be laughing for hours.Nigel Fletcher, Manchester - Aug '02
Great cars, super fast, loads of fun & excellent delivery times. Will definately be back to buy more in the future! :-)Wes McKeown, Bordon - Aug '02
Brilliant little toy. A work mate and myself spend our break and lunch times racing two of these around our workshop. Great fun remembering to make pit stops to charge before they run out. If steering starts to wander and the trim switch underneath doesn't fix it, check to see if both front wheels turn freely. We have found that fluff and threads can get stuck on the axles and cause drag. Wheels can be carefully removed with a knife to extract the axles as they are only a push fit. The rest of the team want one now so they can join in.Steve M, Milton Keynes - Aug '02
Truly amazing! These cars are so much fun to drive the'll leep you entertained for hours. The detail of the cars is great too, just wish you could get one in the form of the A-Team van!Andrew Durrell, Isle of Wight - Aug '02
Bloody Fantastic! The greatest little thing since Kylie. It runs like a mad thing and is a great laff. The only problem i had was with the wheels clogging with crud, but then i found they come off. Great Design!Adam, Somerset - Jul '02
Good fun indeed. Goes OK on short carpet too, only occasionally getting stuck. Quoted battery life of 6 minutes is a bit optimistic, but a 1 minute charge and you're off again.M J B, UK - Jul '03
These things travel faster than I expected. They're excellent on laminated surfaces. I'm gonna upgrade mine with a bigger battery and probably add springs in for better suspension. I also found a great link which talk all about these: www.bitchar-g.co.uk. They are different models, but all the parts are interchangable :) I recommend this to anyone!Kevin, Harrow, London - Jul '03
Just brought one of these the other day, it didn't come in the morning so was expecting it next day, but yay it appeared in the afternoon so I was most pleased. But then when I opened the box what a surprise, Firebox had included a nice bag of sweets, hmmm, great service that!
Anyway onto the car, well personally I think it is brilliant, my kitchen is too small for the speed at which it moves, oh and thanks to the guy/girl who suggested using masking tape to take off the grime on the wheels. Works a treat and keeps the car looking great!
A tip, though, is don't remove the shell unless you know what you're doing, there's wires under there which are thinner than thread! Overall a great product and I hope to get my mates to buy some too. Oh and they work brilliantly with ramps!
Thanks Firebox for the brilliant customer service and care, it's those little attention to detail, which really make you feel happy e.g. the sweets!
