Packaged in a convenient little tin, Ghost Bumps Chilli Flakes are a great way to take your favourite spicy seasoning everywhere you go. What’s that? You’ve never heard of Ghost Peppers? Well sit back and let us explain...

Ghost Pepper, or Bhut Jolokia as it’s sometimes called, has been around for centuries. It’s believed to have come from Assam in India – home to some of the most ear-purplingly spicy flavours on the planet. But when it comes to heat, nothing beats this fiery little vegetable.

Officially recognised in the 2007 Guinness Book of World Records as the Hottest Chilli Pepper in the World, even the aroma of Bhut Jolokia can make your eyes water. But it’s as a recipe ingredient that this whole dried pepper comes into its own.

Described as a smoky – almost melony – flavour, it’s a great accompaniment to salsa and meat dishes (see our recipe below). Just be sure to use it in moderation! Scoville Heat Units are used to gauge the heat of spicy foods. Jalapenos score 3,000-6,000 SHU. Habaneros score 300,000 SHU. And the Bhut Jolokia? A staggering 1,041,427 SHU! Ahem, would you mind passing the yoghurt...

But the Ghost Bumps aren’t just for pepping up your dull canteen lunch. For years it has been used to treat pains like migraines, arthritis, muscle pain and sinusitis. It contains Capsaicin, which is said to ease digestion problems, lower blood-pressure and boost energy levels. Hot and handy? Now that’s our kind of vegetable!

Ghost Burgers:

Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- ¼ cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon Ghost Chilli Flakes
- 1 clove garlic
Recipe:
- Mix all the ingredients together and shape into four burgers. Grill over a medium heat for ten minutes or until cooked through, turning once.

I haven't actually bought this product. Because it's mis-advertised. the bhut jolokia or ghost pepper is not the world's hottest chilli. It's not even top three. It may not even be top five (or if it is, it's fifth). change that packet! hotter chillis include: the dorset naga and the trinidad moruga scorpion (real world's hottest).

I got the GHOST BUMPS CHILLI FLAKES they are the hottest chilli flake I have ever had this little tin is the gate way to hell, this is good in curry, pizza and chicken you need to at least try these once.

Wow lets start with the smell its kinda fruity like theres sum lemon or lime zest in there but the flavour n heat is epic I am a chef so trust me really good if u wnt to spice some thing up.
