The best result will be reached, when the soft surface of your Razorpit is completely dry before the shaving-foam or gel is applied. If a gel is used as opposed to foam, this must be massaged into a foam before commencing the cleaning process, since the gel otherwise can be troublesome out through the blades of the razor

Buy it before they ban it! I took a pretty manky blade that was rough as anything, had been left for a while, and was really grotty. I went through the cleaning process about four times before I was happy with the look of the blade, and then used it to shave off a weeks stubble. The blade was as sharp as a new blade and gave the closeness of shave to which I am used. I was given this as a present for Christmas, and was a bit snooty about it, well I am due for some serious grovelling now, as it's a great present. I will now be cleaning the other used blades in the pack and seeing how much use I can get out of them compared to normal.

I have not read one review for this that makes up my mind! I currently sharpen my Mach 3 with a few wipes on an old pair of jeans! Felt an idiot the 1st time I did it but have been using the same 10 blades for 10 months now, with a good gel. It is all about not letting the edges of the blade curl due to heat/ moisture etc! My jeans work! Does this do the same?

Firebox says: So 10 blades last you 10 months? Isn't that the same as 1 blade lasting 1 month? My RazorPit keeps my blade going for about 7-8 weeks. The jeans idea sounds interesting, have never heard of it before but will certainly check it out.

I bought this thinking "well, if I get an extra shave out of every blade it will help." Last pack of blades was £14!! Turns out the thing works pretty well! After I saw this I deliberately saved all the blades I was going to bin until I ordered. So far I've gotten 5 pretty good shaves out of a blade that I would have binned without this. Saving a fortune here I come. Still skeptical about getting 150 shaves from a blade, for a start it doesn't restore the gel strip but overall I recommend this to anyone who wet shaves.

I have had one of these for around 18 months now and it has saved me a fortune. Having quite sensitive skin, I use a good quality multi-blade razor, a Gillette Fusion. These give me a good shave but seemed to blunt by about the third time I shaved with them. The Razorpit has changed that. Using this lump of molded silicone rubber, my blade heads regularly lasts 4-6 months. Buy one, follow the simple instructions, and you will find it works!

Wow! I bought this thinking that it 'could possibly' work, but after trying it out, it REALLY DOES!! My current razor was getting blunt and starting to pull the hairs, but after using this, seemed brand new! Something to definitely help you save money!
