Re-Cycle Cardboard Bike
I want to be a paper bike rider
Sorry, this product is not available.
Carry your bike around the shops
Made from the equivalent of two hundred red-top tabloids, the Re-Cycle is light, easy to carry and simple to assemble. In the time it would take you to flag down a cab, just follow the step-by-step instructions* to pop, fold, score and tear the pieces you need to assemble your bike in a flash. No glue, tape or staples required.
Paper chain
But what makes this the perfect city bike? The answer is three-fold. Firstly, the Re-Cycle’s stylish travel bag lets you transport it with ease. Carry it discreetly on the tube, the train, the bus, in taxis, as hand luggage on aeroplanes, or store it in the boot of your car until it's needed.
Re-inforced corrugated
cardboard wheels
Finally, capitalising on cutting-edge advances in vending machine cup manufacture, the Re-Cycle’s eco-friendly cardboard is plastic coated to make it almost completely impermeable to moisture – making it the most durable and hardwearing cardboard bicycle on the market.
Fold Markings
* twelve steps for “Boris” setup, thirty-seven for “Racing” (includes helmet)
**75-80 years (approx)

Firebox!
mine keeps melting in the rain?
got any solutions? ;) thanks.Libby, The World - 2nd April 2011
A splendid idea! The original recycled bike was developed during WW2 from old bedsteads which citizens were encouraged to send into the war ministry. They were to be dropped by parachute for the invasion of Europe. In keeping with the best traditions of the British Army, officers would jump ON THEIR BIKES. (Ouch!)
Perhaps fortunately, by D-Day the Americans had invented the jeep and our lads abandoned their bikes and hitched a lift from the Yanks.
PS - at least part of this is true and I still have a 1944 folding commando bike.Jake, Scotland - 1st April 2011
Excellent product, I've got two shoe boxes ready to fit as panniers for touring purposes... and no more punctures, just need a bit of papier mache' ready.Leigh, Durham - 1st April 2011
This wasn't a good idea, owing to the fact that this is England and a sudden downpour (and we have many) will leave you suddenly stranded in the middle of nowhere and a puddle will give you a bumpy ride.Shaz, Surrey - 1st April 2011
Doesn't the fact that it as a paper chain tell you thats its not real!
Some people are just sooo gullible.CJ, UK - 1st April 2011
