As a professional photographer I thought this would be a perfect thing for me, my thought was correct! The smell at first was quite horrible but with a wash it went away! (unfortunately the lens hood doesn't fit my actual lens, which needs hood! :D) Mighty pleased with it. If anyone knows a photographer, this is the perfect gift for them! I got this for my dad for fathers day - he was just blown away. Coolest mug he'd ever seen. The detail is excellent.

I got one of these - and it is bigger than it looks - but I was just going to mention a fix that worked for me for the nasty plastic smell issue:
1. Give it a proper wash with hot water and washing-up liquid, like you would with any new stuff that you plan to put food or drink into.
2. Use a 'Nan' type of trick: stand it in the sink, fill to the brim with hot (not boiling) water, stir in a teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda, let it sit there until it's gone cold. (I had to do this step twice, by the way).
3. Give it another regular wash with hot water and a squirt of Fairy Liquid.
That sorted my one out, so that I can now happily both drink coffee and confuse passing colleagues at the same time. Magic, Hertfordshire - 14th January 2012
