Kids today, eh? Don’t know they’re born. Back in our day if it was hot, all we had to suck on was an ice cube. And that was between five of us. And we made it last three weeks.

Alright, that might not be true. But even so, the number of different ice lollies available to kids (and grown ups) these days is staggering. And the cost of what is basically frozen fruit juice is going up and up!

visitor avatar Would this work with diet fizz? I ask cos it's impossible to get diet lollies and this would be great!

Firebox says: Diet drinks should work just fine Sam, though all fizzy drinks do have a bit of a tendency to separate when frozen.
visitor avatar These are brilliant, well worthwhile. They're so easy - especially since as they seal completely you don't have to rearrange your freezer so that a tray is completely level; just chuck them in and they'll freeze happily.
Simon, London - 2nd August 2011
visitor avatar I froze the sweets in it.

visitor avatar These are great. Remember when you were a youngster and kids used to pretend to be drunk after having a cider flavoured lolly? Well now you can make real alcohol Cider Lollies. I love making Magners Cider Ice Pops.

visitor avatar Fantastic product, really does save you money on buying ice lollies. And a fantastic website to buy from, quick and reliable. Would definitely recommend.

visitor avatar These DIY Ice Pops are fantastic. They do look expensive but when you look at the price of a Calippo ice pop being over £1.20 as long as you make at least 8 DIY Ice Pops your quids in. The silicone is pretty thick and the item is well made. Making your own ice pops are both easy, great and cheap. I've made Ribena, Dr Pepper, Coke, Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice, Ginger Beer, Orange Squash and Cherry 7up ice pops. Pour the liquid in the ice pop mould, push the lid in, place in freezer and wait to freeze. If you are going to use fizzy drinks to make ice pops, after you've poured the drink into the moulds, stir it with a spoon for a few seconds to get rid of some of the gas before you put the lid on. If you don't the gas trying to escape will force the lid off in your freezer.
