IngenuiTEA
Tea bags? Bleurgh!
The mere mention of tea bags frequently sees purists tutting in horror before reporting users to the Tea Police for crimes against loose leaves. And now that we’re brewing up using the IngenuiTEA we can see why. Tea bags? Bleurgh!
Despite its incredibly punfunny name this clever infuser delivers the perfect cup of loose tea with no mess or fuss. Simply pop in your leaves and boiling water (holds up to 473ml), rest it over your favourite mug and a spring-loaded valve empties the tea into your mug, leaving the spent leaves behind. It’s easy tea-sy. Use it to make green, jasmine, Earl Grey or even good ol’ builders’ tea.
Once you’ve reacquainted yourself with the delightful flavour of loose tea, you’ll wonder why you ever put up with tea bags. Best of all you can enjoy proper loose leaf tea without poncing around with fancy pots and strainers. C’mon, put the kettle on!

Another happy purchase from Firebox, I was a bit dubious when purchasing but it's a very good product! Much more than just a tea pot. Very impressed.Mitchell, Northants - 20th April 2012
I was wondering how well it strains the tea leaves? I've had things like this before and with stuff like breakfast tea the leaves come through the infuser.Mitchell, Norrthants - 18th April 2012
Firebox says: Really well! the holes are plenty but tiny so less chance of tainting your brew with bits in your teeth!
I tried to take the filter out for cleaning, however, I end up breaking the tea pot! Just wondering how do you take the filter out?Lucy, London - 7th August 2011
Firebox says: You should be able to simply rinse them out Lucy.
Will you be stocking the replacement filters for these?Lana, UK - 4th May 2011
Firebox says: Not currently Lana, but we're looking into it.
Is it glass or cheap plastic?Ben, Moscow - 6th March 2011
Firebox says: It is made with food-grade polycarbonate that is certified by SGS to be BPA-free and not to mention super easy to clean and dishwasher safe. So I'd say it's posh plastic.
