I bought this last summer as a gift for my dad in Israel. I opened the box it came in when it arrived and WOW! looks exactly as it does in the pictures. I plugged it in and laid it on the floor, I was in awe, it gave the entire room a cozy glow. I wished id bought one for myself too. Even with the light off it looks amazing, great as an ornament on a table on just on the floor in a room.
Its not actually as fragile out of the box as it looks. It is very well made and easier to change the light bulb then previously thought.
Whilst in Israel he swapped the original light bulb for a blue energy saving bulb, it did look pretty amazing. To be honest I preferred it with the normal light bulb in.

Pair this with a power LED bulb (6W ones can be found for £12), then you don't have to tolerate fugly obsolete CFL sticks, or power hungry incandescent bulbs.Infernoz, Bucks. - 27th October 2011
