Rihanna’s recent warbling has reignited our interest in umbrellas, so we thought we’d look for a brolly with a suitably Fireboxy twist. And by the power of Tlaloc (Aztec God of Rain, silly) we’ve found one.
Funbrella!
One button to rule them all
Double Canvas wind-resistance
The Automatic Wind Beater Umbrella looks and feels like a regular lightweight folding brolly when not in use, its size offering no clue to its true enormity. But hit the open button and it springs open to become a massive golf-style umbrella, offering 123cm of rain-repelling coverage. It’s so big you can even fit a friend underneath.
Packs away neatly
A clever double canopy is the key to the Wind Beater’s amazing wind-resistance, so you can relax, safe in the knowledge it’s unlikely to blow inside out, even on the windiest day. You’ll be praying for bad weather just so you can enjoy its enormous polyester embrace. But don’t pray too hard, eh?

I bought this umbrella because I have gone through too many umbrellas to count. A warning to others this umbrella is MASSIVE! I can literally fit 5 adults under it, and now I win the umbrella wars that take place when it rains. However I do feel a bit self conscious under it as im only 5'2. San, Essex - 16th October 2011
In the North of England, it rains. It rains a lot.
After going through many umbrellas (and having them all fail), I decided to take the plunge and buy this.
It turned out to be bigger than I expected (would easily fit three adults underneath) and a little bit on the heavy side too. I'm 5 foot 4, so I looked a bit daft carrying it, but hey. . I was DRY!
It EASILY held up to the strong winds and heavy rain, though I will say that you really do need to hold on TIGHT to the handle in high winds.
Overall, I am glad I bought this. Not one for handbags or festivals (if you wish to travel very light) but well-designed and strong. Nice one, guys! Hemma, Manchester - 7th June 2011
