Looking forward to being able to record from Sky Plus a TV programme featuring my niece in a wedding competition. Can get audio but not managed to get a picture yet. Any advice on where I'm going wrong?Christine, Scotland - 18th January 2012
Firebox says: Have you made sure the audio line is in correctly? if you need further help give us a shout on info@firebox.com
Hi firebox, bought this product a while ago and only got round to using it due to work stuff. However so far I havent been able to do anything with it - I finally managed to get an adapter lead as I only had scart socket but now its all set up it wont let me change any of my old videos into dvds due to copyright. Any suggestions to get round this - I only want to change the videos on to dvd cause a lot of them are very old disney ones and I like the fact they are old. And I dont want a remastered version of I like they do on dvd now - it will just spoil my memory of disney.Hettie, Manc - 4th January 2012
Firebox says: Hi Hettie, we would recommend giving the manufacturers Technical Support a call to see if they can help with this one: 01252 896080
I have a video collection of VHS Films and TV series that I have bought over the years. Will the Video 2 Go get round the video protection that used to stop you from making a VHS copy of a bought VHS film? I'm not looking to pirate any VHS I have, just convert them to a digital version for home use.Rob, Manchester - 18th December 2011
Firebox says: I've done this for a fair few of my VHS and haven't encountered a problem yet.
Just bought the Video 2 Go from firebox. How do I connect it to my video player if I only have SCART, aerial and RF Out plugs on my Video Player? No S-Video Plug! Please help.Gem, Isle Of Man - 16th December 2011
Firebox says: Never fear! You can get a scart plug that will connect to the S-Video and/or A/V lines of the device quite cheaply from most high street electonics stores.
Hello, I've got a freesat box and I'm thinking about buying this product and I don't know if it will record Digital TV? Thanks.Marcus, Cornwall, England, UK - 3rd August 2011
Firebox says: It should work fine Marcus, assuming there are VCA outputs?
Hi, so how can I burn a proper dvd to mp4 and such using this?
(Disc-recording device required for burning CDs, VCDs and DVDs) what type of device do I need? Out of this and your other vhs converter, which is the best?
many thanks.Rob, Luton - 22nd July 2011
Firebox says: You'd need to connect it to a computer with the software/hardware to burn a DVD/CD Rob,
This will sound dim but oh well. . I was wondering once you extract the video file from video/sky+/whatever if you can you put that file on a dvd disk so that it will play on dvd players and not just computers. Can you? Cheers in advance!!Graeme, Glasgow - 16th June 2011
Firebox says: You can do that, but not with the software that comes with the product, that just converts it for the computer, but once it's there, you can use other software packages to burn it onto DVD.
Will it damage the dvd contents if I copy dvds with this? For example - will it leave bits out of the dvd or will it jump ? My main concern is my dvd will not function correctly well after I have used the video 2 go software please advise ?William, Ireland - 13th May 2011
Firebox says: It will do no damage to the DVD itself, so you will still be able to use the DVD after using the Video 2 Go with it.
Will I be able to transfer movies from DVD to itunes.William, Ireland - 12th May 2011
Firebox says: Yes you will. You will have to transfer using the software that comes with it, but once you have done this you should be able to convert the video so it is suitable for iTunes.
Can you use this to turn your camcorder into a webcam?Mikey, Kent - 10th May 2011
Firebox says: No, it's for transferring pre-recorded video, not for live feeds.
