This is a good product, and probably still the best travel mug out there, but it also has its problems. Firstly, it's very hard to clean the lid. Stuff accumulates in there and because of the seal it's next to impossible to get rid of it. If this bothers you, you don't want this mug. Secondly it's not very shock-proof. If you drop it, even a small distance, the mechanism in the lid is likely to come a little loose and from them on it will leak. And leak so badly that the cup becomes unusable. Unfortunately dropping it is quite easy, because it's perfectly smooth with no handle, and you can't put it in your bag for fear of depressing the button and flooding your stuff.Kat, Oxfordshire - 23rd February 2012
I bought one of these a couple of months ago. Worked fine at first but then started to leak. Tried everything to stop it but eventually one attempt to many to screw down the lid caused it to break. Very expensive for a couple of months use.JOE SKEATS, United Kingdom - 21st July 2011

I bought one of these as I was due to go on a long train journey to Edinburgh (5 hours!) and I thought it would be nice to have a hot drink at home, and have the same hot drink at my destination. It really does what it says on the tin, well website. However, I don't know whether I am imagining it, but recently the mug seems to be keeping the hot drinks hot for only about 2 hours. And i've just noticed you have Raspberry/purple in stock now as well.Matthew Field, Milton Keynes - 29th May 2011
I have had two of these for about a year which I use for water. I put some ice in with it and it stays nicely chilled all day. It's very useful when driving as it's so easy to pick up and take a sip. It does collect condensation on the outside with very cold liquids, but it's a price worth paying for the durability of metal. To improve it I would have liked a locking system of some type for the button to provide extra reassurance when it is in a bag, but have never actually had any leakages. It would also be nice if it came with a small sack with a strap to make it easier to carry. I plan on getting another one for drinking mead so that I don't spill it if I fall asleep! Highly recommended.Chris, Southampton - 14th May 2011
I purchased this item as a Christmas present. We are an active family, and my husband likes to take a cup of tea to have after a bike ride. The idea seemed good, but after just 2 uses, the lid split. The cup seems a lot stronger than the lid, and obviously this is an expensive item to fail. I wouldn't recommend it, just go for the Thermos, or cheap supermarket alternatives!Claire Jennings, Bude, Cornwall - 28th April 2011

I bought this item last year I am very pleased with it, I have had 6 hours of hot tea from this mug, not sure if it is dishwasher proof but I have had mine accidentally washed in one and is still working well
Would give 10 out of 10 on this - well recommended.Richard Watts, Sennybridge - 24th March 2011
Brilliant mug for keeping drinks hot. And completely drip proof. Just what you need in a travel mug.
For the people worried about the strong after taste of coffee on the lid - I have tea and coffee out of same mug (obv on different days), and soaking it overnight or for a few hours before bed (so its dry by morning) in water with some washing up liquid really solves the problem.
Only one problem so far - the inside of my mug appears to have rusted.Kathryn, Leeds - 10th February 2011
Bought this on a whim, and it does the job quite well. It keeps hot liquid hot for up to 2 hours and warm for longer. Bit of a pain to clean though, and it retains the sent of the previous liquid. Too expensive for what it does, as I already have one much better which keeps hots hot for up to 8 hours and sip-able.Saz, UK - 20th January 2011
My brother got me this for my birthday in October and I LOVE IT!!! I have used it every day since. I commute by train into work everyday and wanted something I could chuck into my backpack that wouldnt leak and that wasnt a flask. This ticks all the boxes.
I usually add some cold water before putting the lid on as it does stay very hot for a while. Admittedly a little pricy, but after paying £2 every time at the train station for a coffee, it's already paid for itself!Jennie, Flitwick - 17th January 2011
This is a perfect travel mug. Have been using it for a few months, no leakage, no mess. Just one tiny thing, if you have strong coffee inside, wash the lid as soon as you can, otherwise the taste will stay and may spoil your next use.JC, London - 16th January 2011
