Charge up all your Apple gizmo's!

Having a deskload of iGizmos is de rigueur these days, but syncing and charging them can be a right kerfuffle: iPods and iPhones rubbing shoulders with iPads amidst a bird’s nest of cable clutter; it’s just not the way minimalist Apple fans are meant to function, is it? For this reason and many more, you need the iPADock.

Compatible with virtually every Apple-related doodah bar the Granny Smith, this sleek, mains powered docking device charges various iCombinations simultaneously: two iPads, an iPad and two iPhones, or four iPhones. Think of it as a one-stop power/sync solution for all your Apple gadgets.

Insert USB end first Press dock connector in Connnect USB

Insert the USB side of the cable through...

Press the dock connector firmly in...

Connect the USB to the "power only" ports for charging

View from the back

Just like J-Lo, the rear of the iPADock is even more interesting than the front because it houses four USB ports and various slots to support a number of memory card formats, including SD, SDHC, mini SD, mini SDHC, micro SD and micro SDHC. Phew!

Even if you’re not gizmo-d up to the iBalls, at least you won’t keep bashing your head reaching down to sync ‘n’ charge gadgets. Put this highly polished Apple muncher on your desk and unsightly cables will be history. Speaking of which, we’ll even throw in three Apple-friendly cables.

1) Mini-USB port, 2) CF/MD card slot, 3) 3x USB 2.0 ports, 4) SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot, 5) Micro SD card slot ,
6) 4x USB (power only),7) 5A/5V Mains input,

Perfect for geek-chic households and offices in which iGadgets rule, this do-it-all überdock also functions as a chic iPad stand, holding your beloved tablet in landscape or portrait view. In fact the only thing it can’t do is discourage you from buying every single Apple product on the market, something you obviously can’t resist otherwise you wouldn’t be drooling over the iPADock in the first place. Chaaaarge!

Like many people I use the official Apple case on my iPad-1, will the ipad fit the dock with the case on? The majority of docks don't seem to unfortunately!
Dangerous, Essex - 9th February 2012
Firebox says: Hi, you will need to remove the case to get in in the dock
Im not that technically minded soIm a little confused by this, the iPad currently has no USB ports, so if I stick my iPad onto this, it gives me 7 USB ports which I can connect any external device into and upload files to my ipad???
GPC1982, N.ireland - 5th October 2011
Firebox says: Heya, the iPADock has 4 power-only usb ports for charging and 3 more usb ports for connecting any external usb devices you like! Hope this helps, and by all means drop us an email to if you have any further queries.
Can you save films from iTunes onto this device using the memory card slots??
Junior Lamont, Brighton - 3rd July 2011
Firebox says: Unfortunately there is no internal memory Junior, however with memory cards inserted (and left in) you could effectively make it work like that. Not a bad idea!
Can I check why it wont work with iPad 2?
Cedric Quey, Singapore - 1st May 2011
Firebox says: Due to the difference in size. it's not compatible, sorry Cedric.
