A Hot Pack yields almost an hour of steady, finger-reviving warmth once activated. Or if you're not too keen on showing the cold getting to you, just leave it in a pocket close to your body for a blast of secret, relatively-high temperature pleasure.

The concept is very simple. Inside the tough plastic shell of a Hot Pack is a thick, clear liquid and a small metal disc. 'Click' the disc and you start a chemical reaction which heats the liquid to a toasty 130 F in about five seconds. That's very fast.

Once warm, the Hot Pack remains at a constant temperature for roughly 45 minutes before losing its heat. After use, the liquid will solidify, and all that's required to regenerate a Hot Pack is to heat it in a pan of boiling water until the solid turns back into a liquid. Boil-in-the-bag hotness magic.

There are plenty of times one of these will come in, ahem, handy. On the 50-yard line, on the journey to work, those romantic winter walks accompanied by classic hits during movie montages and many more. Quite simply, warm hands are better than cold ones. Ask any man who's had to drop 'em and cough...

visitor avatar I bought the blue pack, and received the next day with standard delivery. Excellent. The Hot Packs themselves are amazing, they heat up so quick and last for a while. Reusing them is so simple. Love them, will definitely buy more.

visitor avatar Brilliant delivery! I ordered them yesterday and they came this morning, and the free sweets made me feel very loved by the firebox team :) The actual hot packs are pretty great, and so fun to watch them transform!! Shame they don't last longer than 20 minutes but never mind.

visitor avatar Hmmm, according to the people in metro centre (Newcastle) who literally fling these red hot buggers at you, you only get about 100 uses, and to answer:Noah From Worcester, they put a jug of water in the microwave, put about 10 packs in and leave them in on full power for about a minute or two and theyre done, bearing in mind they charge: £15. 00 For 3 Hot packs ( Singles ) :|.
Liam, Billingham - Dec '08
visitor avatar Just wanted to mention that the song in the demo video is Classical Gas - Mason Williams.

visitor avatar Hi firebox! I was wondering if you could microwave these to restore them? if you can how long do you put them in for?
Noah, Worcester, UK - Nov '08
Firebox says: We'd strongly advise you not to put the Hot Packs in the microwave as they contain a small metal disc that might create a mini apocalypse in your kitchen. You can bring the Hot Packs back to life by putting them in boiling water until they turn liquid again.
