Hot Slippers
Treat your tootsies
Sorry, this product is not available.
Microwave for 90secs and keep your feet toasty!
As the name suggests, Hot Slippers are hot. And we’re not talking hot in the fashion-tastic sense; we’re talking hot in the warm up your tootsies sense. Simply pop them in the microwave for a couple of minutes and the lavender-scented wheat grains within will keep them warm for up to an hour. Mmm… toasty slippers!
Perfect for keeping hard working feet cosy on chilly nights in front of the TV and warm during those icy mornings in the kitchen, Hot Slippers feature non-slip soles and fleecy insides. And unlike most slippers, the gently scented aromatherapy wheat grains ensure they’ll always smell gorgeous. Go on, treat your feet!

"Fed up with cold toes on a winter's evening? Come home from a freezing walk outside, pop these Hot Slippers in the microwave for around two minutes and they'll keep warm for up to an hour, emitting a soothing lavender smell at the same time."Daily Mirror - Dec '10

I haven't had much chance to test these (warmed) as after the 2nd time in the microwave my microwave stopped working! (I do hope this is coincidence!) But when I can afford a new microwave I will definitely be wearing them all winter, I have Raynaud's syndrome so they will be more a necessity than a luxury! One downside though is they are waaaay too big for my size 3 feet - I did check if they would fit in advance! They're ok for sitting down but for walking around they keep you on your toes (pardon the pun!). I have to take them off to walk up and down stairs since they slide everywhere. The filling is free to move so when you lift your foot the slippers are a different shape when you put your foot back down! Not to mention they keep falling off and making me trip :s.Sarah, Merseyside - 7th November 2011
I would love a pair of these-when will you cater for ladies who are size 8 (or more).Caroline, Ilkley - 6th November 2011
Firebox says: As soon as we can Caroline. This is the only size we currently have available from the supplier.
I bought them for a friend for X'mas, but I couldn't resist and opened the package, the first thing I've noticed was the nice lavender smell, really soft and natural, not artificial at all! And how soft and heavy the slippers are.
It's not a rigid sole, but rather a sac full of grains, that adapt to your foot shape (yes, I've tried them on, who could resist?)
They seem very very nice and will get one for me too!Pablo, Espaņa - 4th November 2011
Will these fit a women's size 3? What size are they approximately? Thanks.Sarah, Merseyside - 22nd October 2011
Firebox says: Yep Sarah, they will they fit any foot for size 3 to size 7 in womens sizes!
I was looking at these, since they are the perfect thing for my dad...but they're not in manly colours/manly sizes! And my dad's a size 15 foot (huge, I know) so there's no way these would ever fit. Are you man-ing them up soon, Firebox?Nat, Worcester - 30th March 2011
Firebox says: Hi Nat, no plans for it at the moment we're afraid, but never say never!
A great idea but I really highly doubt that anyone would continually put worn out dirty slippers that atract dirt and germs in a microwave which silly purpose is to heat up and keep your feet warm. A good idea but has some flaws. Maybe you could make a bag or box to put them in while in the microwave.Ryan Boultbee, Swadlincote - 28th January 2011
Firebox says: That's definitely something to think about Ryan!
These are a great idea! But will they set on fire in the microwave? Because my friend had something similar to this (not the same brand though) and when she put them in the microwave them caught fire!Sophie, UK - 31st December 2010
Firebox says: We'd certainly hope not Sophie! Best to stick to the recommended times.
These are wonderful, shame they didn't arrive in time for the week of no central heating I just had. Only downside is that the lavender smell is a little overpowering (hoping that will wear off a bit) although I like lavender. The slippers are rather big on me (I have size 5 1/2 feet). You should consider doing these in different sizes.Di, Sheffield - 29th December 2010
Just got these this morning, inspecting them for the first time now, wrapping them while the missus is a-kip. First thoughts; This box is HEAVY.
When I took them out I was surprised at the softness of the material especially. It's similar to that microfibre stuff, stupid-soft.
The smell was definitely detectable, not as strong as I initially thought, but I assume it'll get stronger as it heats. I'm about to try one on before wrapping them. Needs MANLY COLOURS!!!Thaddius, Brighton, UK - 14th December 2010
Firebox says: We'll see what we can do Thaddius.
Do the slippers come in different sizes or are they not used for walking around the house?Robert, Leeds - 10th December 2010
Firebox says: Just the standard size for now I'm afraid.
