Filled with lava mineral particles, this muscle soothing pillow delivers steady, dry heat wherever you choose to place it. Simply pop it in the microwave for two minutes then let it work its volcanic magic. The special sand retains heat like no other substance so it’s ideal for alleviating pain, promoting circulation and stimulating the metabolism. You can even use it instead of a hot water bottle.

Remove outer casing before heating!

If you can’t stand the heat, the Lava Pillow doubles up as a highly effective cold compress. Just chill in the freezer for 15-20 minutes. Frozen peas? Pah! Yes, you could visit the nearest volcano with a bucket and spade, but that’s only going to give you backache and cause additional stress. So relax and feel the heat with a Lava Pillow. WARNING:

Ensure pillow is completely free of dirt before placing in microwave
Do not reheat the pillow within 40 minutes of initial application
Please make sure the pillow does not get wet (especially before heating)

Directions:

Remove the pillow case before heating!
Heat the pillow in an oven for approximately 15-20 minutes at 150 degress celcius
Microwave in a 600 Watt microwave for a maximum of 2 minutes. Please ensure the turntable can freely rotate and do no leave the appliance unattended while the pillow is being heated.
Use as a cold compress. Please the pillow in the freezer compartment for 15-20 minutes before use.

I would like to know if it gets as hot as a hot water bottle, as I have to wait for a hot water bottle to cool a bit before I can use it as I am heat sensitive and this looks ideal.
