TanSafe
Beach thieves begone!
Keep your valuables safe
As you can see this clever receptacle looks just like a regular bottle of suntan lotion. Simply pop off its watertight lid, bung in your bits and relax, safe in the knowledge thieves will be unlikely to want to slather on the SPF25 after a hard day’s pilferage. Clever, eh!
Large enough to conceal iPhones, BlackBerries and maybe even your Mankini, the TanSafe is set to become an essential travelling companion for canny sunbathers everywhere. And seeing as the cremated lobster look is seriously last century, nobody will bat an eyelid at your additional bottle of sunscreen. Valuable beach protection? Absolutely!
Brilliantly mocked up label artwork!

I bought this and in general I'm happy with it. The width could be a bit more generous though. My iphone 3GS does not fit in it unless I remove the cover. Most people use covers for their phones and the manufacturers should have taken that into account.
The second problem is that it is very slim and the bottom does not seem to be completely flat so it does not stand up well unless on a completely flat surface. It's fine to leave on its side though.
My chief concern with this product was that potential thieves might recognise the brand name. I removed the Tan Safe label and replaced it with one from an actual brand of suncream - Garnier. Problem solved! ;).Ellie, UK - 14th April 2012
I can see this is waterproof, but would it hold liquid inside with out leaking? this would be an great way to smuggle booze in to a venue!! Just don't tell anyone....Sarah, Leeds - 1st August 2011
What if a thief sees one down the beach recognises the artwork then takes it all.Alex, Jersey - 21st April 2011
Firebox says: well then they are a criminal mastermind.
Will I be able to fit my passport and other travel documents in it?Sarah, Reading, England - 10th April 2011
Firebox says: It won't fit a passport, but if you fold the documents up they should fit in there, along with a phone / keys or other valuables.
Awesome. But can it protect things from water, like on boat? Will it float?Mia, Ireland - 6th March 2011
Firebox says: It is waterproof Mia, however it isn't designed to be a flotation device.
I bought three of these as presents and kept one for myself to take on holiday. I found it really useful for leaving cash in my room, and it provided piece of mind on the beach. Great product!JoeS, Camberwell, London - 29th December 2010
What if someone wants to steal your sun cream? :O.Hennessy, Croydon - 19th December 2010
Firebox says: Not a very widely report crime....
Wow this is a really good idea, considering that it's never safe to leave anything valuable in your bag while you're enjoying a dip in the sea!!Lara Tracy Huber, Malta - 14th November 2010
