hold piping hot drinks

Hold piping hot drinks without burning your mitts!

Cupping a hot drink isn’t as easy as they make it look in the adverts, especially when the cup in question is a billion degrees celsius. And holding it by the handle simply isn’t as comforting. That’s why you need Hug A Mug.

Thanks to dual-wall insulation and clever inlaid handprints, this stylish ceramic mug lets you hold piping hot drinks without burning your mitts. Handles? Who needs ‘em?

Simply fill Hug A Mug with hot choc, tea, coffee, soup, noodles or whatever and enjoy the soft warmth generated by your steaming drink. It will even keep cold drinks cooler for longer because its insulated walls prevent hot hands from heating things up.

visitor avatar Doesn't hold as much liquid as I would like, but I still love it! You can hold it instantly and you won't be burned.
Amy, Bracknell, Berkshire - 6th May 2012
visitor avatar A friend bought me one of these for my birthday and I love it! You can pick up the mug no matter how hot the liquid is inside and it holds a comfortable amount. My only qualm is that the silicone stopper at the bottom makes it wobbly so you have to be careful what surfaces you put it on. Great mug though!
Jodie Higginbotham, London - 28th June 2011
visitor avatar Do you have to wait a few minutes until you can 'hug' the mug? because if you pour in a hot drink, will you burn your hands as soon as you 'hug' the mug?
Suzanna, Kent - 2nd March 2011
Firebox says: Care when 'hugging the mug' is always recommended.
visitor avatar It looks cool and is great for someone with small hands! The one problem that I had with this (and this may actually be a plus point to some people) is that the outside of the mug doesn't really get warm enough to heat up your hands... and I thought that was kind of the point... that you could hold it and warm up your hands without burning them! Let's put it like this, I bought it for my girlfriend who is always hugging the cups she drinks from to keep her hands warm. She still uses a regular mug, not this one!
Phil, Horsham - 27th January 2011
visitor avatar I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago from another website and it arrive smashed to pieces. Then I discovered Firebox... My Hug-A-Mug arrived today in tip top condition plus free sweets! Much love for you guys, thanks a lot. I will definitely buy more stuff from here in the future.
Hannah, Preston - 26th January 2011
visitor avatar I purchased this mug for my mother who has osteoarthritis in her hands ... Holding a normal cup with a handle was always an issue. Since using this cup she has found it really easy to drink hot drinks again. The exterior doesn't get hot so she can hold the mug without issues. Defo recommend for anyone that struggles holding normal cups.

Ashley, Singapore - 28th November 2010
Firebox says: If you order now then absolutely.
visitor avatar What is the cup made out of?
James, London - 15th November 2010
Firebox says: It's ceramic... just thicker than usual.
visitor avatar A fantastic gift! I've already bought two of these as they have gone down a treat!
