Brilliant in its simplicity, this smart wall map depicts the world in all its jiggidy, jaggedy continent covered glory. So far, so what? Well here’s the clever bit: the land masses are covered in gold foil that can be scratched off to reveal the countries you’ve visited. Let’s see…Calais, France; Amsterdam, Holland…oh yes, and Timbuktu, erm somewhere.

Hey, I was wondering what kind of container does it come in? I want to buy this but would carry it around as I travel.

I bought one of these for my brother for Christmas, it arrived today and I just know he's going to LOVE it. Just one thing, Firebox, please sort out your packaging! This item came in a post tube literally TWICE its length. Was that necessary? It's so wasteful, and must cost you a fortune!

We currently have 2 sizes of post tube and unfortunately the My Scratch Map is just slightly too big for the smaller one. As much as we try to reduce our packaging and pay attention to environmental concerns, with the thousands of products on the site we do have to keep the amount of packaging options to a sensible amount.
