Touchscreen Gloves

Frag enemies without getting frostbite

Attempting to use a touchscreen device when you’re wearing gloves is a bit like trying to pick your nose wearing a balaclava. Because unlike fleshy fingers, gloves don’t conduct electricity. So what’s it to be, frozen fingers or unusable gizmos? Thanks to Firebox, neither.

Touchscreen Gloves are super soft, 100% acrylic gloves with special conductive material woven into the thumb, index and middle fingers, so you can tap, pinch and scroll even when it’s minus whatever outside. Skin-like responsiveness? App-solutely. Staying toastie whilst fiddling with your gadgets has never been easier.

Conductive material in the fingertips

Just think, with a pair of these innocuous looking gloves you’ll be able to text in the depths of winter, scroll through photos at freezing bus stops, manipulate your satnav when the heater’s on the blink and photograph polar bears without exposing delicate fingers to the elements. Now that’s gotta be worth a hand.

Customer Reviews

Ordered these as soon as I saw them & I received them quickly but after one use they started to come apart with the threads unravelling. I contacted Firebox & their customer service was fantastic as they sent me a FREEPOST return label & agreed to send me out a replacement straight away. The replacements are better although there are still a few loose threads coming apart but ok so far. Obviously being gloves it's sometimes hard to push all the buttons on the iPhone but I think you can't expect it to be as exact as your fingers would be & so I would say they are responsive enough. Overall it's a great idea & they do work well although wish they slightly better quality. Question - I noticed you now sell 'SmarTouch Gloves'. Are these better quality? If not, what’s the difference?
Pirate Pete - 24th November 2010
Firebox says: Yes, the SmarTouch gloves are slightly better quality. They are thicker than the original Touchscreen gloves, hence the £2 price difference.
This isn't a review but when will you have some more in stock really need some as a xmas present :) they are a brilliant idea well done :).
Laura Dale - 23rd November 2010
Firebox says: I'm afraid we won't be getting anymore in until the New Year, but we do have this alternative pair: They are slightly more expensive but are a thicker material.
Unfortunately, the gloves just didn't work consistently with my HTC Wildfire, which was very frustrating. But thumbs up to Firebox for a quick and simple returns/refund process :).

Its not a review but do you know if they work with Palm Pixi/Pre phones?
Ben Humphrey - 9th November 2010
Firebox says: It's untested but they do work with most touchscreen devices. We offer a 30 day return policy if they are unsuitable.
Do they come in any other colour (pink)?
JoJo - 8th November 2010
Firebox says: Not at the moment but we'll bear the suggestion in mind!
They look fab, but is there any difference in style between the ladies size and the mens size? Having smaller hands is not the best lol.
Tom - 8th November 2010
Firebox says: No difference in style, just the size.
