Squeezing the Space Lobber Dog Toy makes it squeak

Squeezy squeak squeak!

Unless your dog is a fan of 70s pop culture, we doubt it has ever played with a Space Hopper. And even if it has, it would probably prefer to chase it, chew it and slobber all over it, not boing up and down on it (although we’d pay good money to see that). Sadly, proper hoppers are a little on the large side, even for dogs with enormous gobs. That’s why your bow wow needs the Space Lobber.

This spectacularly squeaky fetch toy is inspired by the nation’s favourite orange blob. No, not Sharon off EastEnders, we’re still talking about the legendary Space Hopper.

Dog playing with the Space Lobber Dog Toy

Who's a good dog?!

Featuring an incredibly sensitive internal squeaker and elongated ears that double up as ergonomic throw handles, this crazy rubber doodah is guaranteed to amuse owners as much as dogs. Now all Rover needs is a pair of groovy flares. Woof! Squeak! Boing!

visitor avatar I bought this for my dog last week and she loved it, would not leave it alone. However it broke today, what started as a small puncture has resulted in my garden looking like its snowed! It was excellent, though probably suited to smaller dogs in hindsight, rather than my GSD/Newfoundland. Kept her entertained for a short period of time at least.

visitor avatar These toys are amazing! I have 2 border collies who have destroy every toy I have given them so far, but this one has lasted months and is still in the same condition as it was when I bought it!(Except the mud coating it now has). But be warned! If your dogs are anything like mine they will love it so much the squeaking will drive you round the bend and you will have to confiscate it for an hour or two every day!

visitor avatar Love this toy brought it for my dogs (Dog for the Disabled) as I am a puppy walker, so have a few dogs that have played with it. However it got left in the front garden and was stolen, so have had to buy a new one!!

visitor avatar My dog loves this toy, it's a shame the squeaker broke after 10 minutes of play, with no noticeable damage on the outside.

visitor avatar Hi, love this website check it out all the time 4 new gadgets. But my dog is a glen and litterly kills anything that makes a noise(even me when he's lucky. )would this hold together because his other toys have all gone sadly from tears?

Firebox says: It's made out of a thinck rubber but it sounds to me like it would not last too long with your dog, sorry!.
visitor avatar I bought this toy for my Jack Russell 6 months ago and it is still going strong. She plays with it constantly which can be annoying as it is very noisy.

visitor avatar Bought this for Xmas for our collie cross who loves anything ball-shaped and squeaky. The squeak went after about an hour! - but that's no bad thing. He played with it ALL of Christmas day, even taking it to bed with him, and has not shown any interest in any other toy since. Definitely a big hit!

visitor avatar My dog (a Boxer) LOVED this - VERY annoying and VERY loud squeak but that just made him love it all the more!! ......Until he killed it - after about 2 hours - and now it squeaks no more :( However, than means I now love it and it kept it's shape and bounce so he still plays with it - and everyone is happy :).

visitor avatar A real groovy toy. our 3/4 english bull &1/4 staff cant get enough and has yet to rip or tear it after a week. Most toys have a life expectancy of about 5 minutes, when we opened this one we did give him a strong lecture about damaging it before using it the first time. We do ALWAYS play with him and never allow him to play with it by himself hence we have been led to it a few times for a play session. Only wish it came with a towel as it does get slobbery quickly.

visitor avatar Great idea, however not as robust as some of the other reviewers have aid. Fun factor 10/10. Annoyability 10/10. Durability 3/10. I bought two as I have 2 dogs. One of them is still relatively intact but the other one the squeaker dies after 3 days, and lasted less than 2 weeks before it got a small tear then one of the handles was snapped and finally all the stuffing was pulled out after about 2 weeks. Would be better if rubber was a bit thicker, more durable, but otherwise a great idea.
