New version: Fireplace

The hot new Fireplace DVD is packed with a sizzling seven firey features plus DVD extras!

As seen on.. Eastenders! Two of the most relaxing sights a person can enjoy from the comfort of their sofa are the hypnotic, warming rhythms of the flames dancing on a real coal fire, and the soothing, fluid motions of tropical fish as they circle a well-stocked fish tank. Unfortunately, getting to the stage where you can kick back and watch those activities involve some hard work, a significant wedge of money and getting your hands dirty. Unless, of course, you're watching them on DVD.

Fireplace
DVDAquarium The Fireplace DVD recreates the wonderfully relaxing ambience of a roaring log fire, coal fire, coal embers... Gas fire? Electric fire? Here is a small clip of DVD Fireplace. I tried to make it as realistic as the DVD shows, by recording just the video. The DVD case is shown at the end to give credit to Escapi, the creators of these amazing virtual settings.

visitor avatar I bought the fireplace DVD for the long winter months in my very cold flat. Looks amazing if you turn off all the lights. . Asthmatics rejoyce! All the benefits of realistic fire without the smoke :-) Nice one, Firebox. Might have to buy the fishtank DVD now....
Fiona, Isle Of Wight - 14th June 2007
visitor avatar This is briliant, I could stare and look it it all day long (of course I dont) One of the most amazing things you can get on your t.v.
Harry, Penn - 8th December 2006
visitor avatar I recently spent the same amount of money as this DVD on visiting an aquarium in Great Yarmouth. My pictures were crap. This DVD shows how it should be done. It's like having fish tank inside the tele. Amuses and bemuses the cats as well.
PB, Nottingham - 14th August 2006
visitor avatar I use this when I have dinner parties or when I want to have something on the LCD but not too distracting - the amount of comments I get for this DVD is amazing!!

visitor avatar I Love it.It is so soothing and relaxing just sitting and listening to the wonderful crackling and the flames flickering on the ceiling. (that is the fire, not the aquarium :) At first my husband thought I was mad but I have found him enjoying it too! It's amazing, after a while you really belive its real, I can see why the cats love it! Thank you very much to all the amazing REAL people at Firebox and Congratulations on an TOP Class site! I feel like you really care and thats rare these days! I'm hooked, Melinda x.

visitor avatar I'll admit - when I ordered the DVD I was skeptical, but ever since I put it on I've been staring at the TV. Somehow, it never gets boring, there's always something new to see - and I imagine it'd be great as an extra Christmas decoration, or to play when friends come round. If there's one gadget you buy from Firebox, let it be this! (Thanks for the sweets, too! ;).
Mike Lee, Oxfordshire, UK - 16th August 2005
visitor avatar I just got the Aquarium and Fireplace DVDs and think they are great, they're perfect to have on in the background when you're having a chilled out night on the sofa reading. The fireplace looks best with the lights off as the room flickers with the light from the TV. PS. I want to get the Seahorses and Birdcage next does anyone else have them and are they any good?
Justin, Milton Keynes - 22nd June 2005
visitor avatar I recently bought both the Fireplace and the Aquarium DVDs and think they're great. Trouble is I can't get my cat away from the TV. As soon as I put the aquarium on she jumps up to watch them and tries to catch them. It's so funny, every time we put the TV on now she watches it.
caroline holding, telford, shropshire - 10th February 2004
visitor avatar This fireplace DVD is great - really (I've seen it 3 times already and only bought it 4 days ago!) Can't wait for the sequel - please let me know when Fireplace II comes out.
Adam Cox, Rainham, Essex - 24th December 2003
visitor avatar Watching the fireplace DVD last night made me wonder why I ever bothered with central heating. It seems there is a "sure-fire" way to save on my gas bill. Don't take my word for it: come and see my rosy glow!
