Non-stick cast aluminium
As you can see, this strange looking pan has interior sidewalls. No, not to make your pre-sliced brownie look like a wiggly snake (although that’s a bonus), but to circulate heat evenly, thus ensuring your individual brownies are moist in the middle with perfectly caramelised corners and dense chewy edges on both sides, just like mom never made. Mmm…brownies.

Is the pan safe to use? There has been some research linking cooking with aluminium based items to Alzheimer's disease.Lillian, Essex - 1st December 2011
Firebox says: In short, yes it is safe. However for a more comprehensive answer I refer you to www.http://alzheimers.org.uk. They state the following:
A number of research findings have suggested a possible link between aluminium and Alzheimer's disease. These findings include: the presence of aluminium deposits in tangles and plaques in the brains of people with Alzheimer's disease; and increased rates of dementia in people with kidney failure whose bodies have raised levels of aluminium. However, a large study of the brains of people who had died from Alzheimer's disease found only normal levels of aluminium.
Some studies have suggested that people living in areas with high concentrations of aluminium in the water supply may be more likely to develop Alzheimer's disease. However, this evidence is inconclusive. Exposure to aluminium from other sources, such as from drinking tea, using antiperspirants and taking antacids, has not been shown to be linked to the development of Alzheimer's disease.
Because there is only weak or circumstantial evidence for linking aluminium with the development of Alzheimer's disease, there seems to be little justification for not using aluminium cooking utensils.
Can you make lasagne in the brownie pan even though the dimensions are different? :).Sara, Brighton - 1st July 2011
Firebox says: Technically, probably, but it would be a bit small - we'd advise just getting the Lasagne one!
Why is this UK exclusive?Martin, Norway - 31st May 2011

For the Edge Brownie Pan it is: 36×23×6cm
They say that a way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but it's also the way to a woman's heart especially when it involves chocolate. The brownies made in this pan come out perfectly or at least that's what the secretaries in my wife's office tell me!!Mark Broughton, Luxembourg - 9th October 2010
