Scary pumpkin face!
So how do you add an element of wonder to evening do's and illuminate the night sky without forking out thousands on fireworks? No, you don't get guests to scribble their names in the dark with sparklers. You buy some jaw-droppingly spooky Pumpkin Flying Lanterns.
These enchanting paper blimps are guaranteed to become the talking point of any spooktacular frightnight because they climb gently into the night sky like mini hot air balloons. Simply light the special wax fuel cell, wait for a flame to form, make a wish and watch in wonder as your biodegradable lantern gradually ascends to the heavens, glowing as it rises. You can even personalise your lantern with wishes, thoughts or messages for the spirits using a marker pen.
Set alight and set free
Off the scale in terms of ooh-aah-factor, Pumpkin Flying Lanterns are infinitely more original than noisy fireworks. So what are you waiting for? Release the pumpkins.

Good lanterns. Takes a good minute to light and fill (as per instructions), you need a good lighter that wont get hot in your hand! Released a few of these on Halloween to great delight by all. The faces are not as big as shown in the pics :( but their shape and colour more than make up for this.Dan, Derbyshire - 1st November 2010
AAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH, ITS A UFO!!!
No, seriously, these things have been mistaken for UFOs before....
...But then again so has the moon!!!M@rtin, Redditch - 26th October 2009
These items can be extremely dangerous to Livestock, when the burnt out lantern lands in a field of grass or crops it cannot be seen. The thin wire ends up inside a bale of hay, silage or straw and could kill an animal that eats it. Sometimes when the lantern lands it is still alight or hot enough to set light to a dry field of straw or hay.Denise Hughes, Hampshire UK - 14th October 2009
Firebox says: Very good point; this is why we encourage our customers to use the lanterns safely.
