Ideal for commuters, joggers, gym bunnies, cyclists, musicians, skateboarders and anyone else who loves music but hates dangly cables, Magneat is destined to become your most beloved MP3/phone accessory. Yes, really!
Packaging
If any of you cheapskates out there are thinking of other ways to manage your headphones’ pesky cable, think away. Tucking it under your clothes inevitably pulls it out of its socket, sticky tape is rubbish, and trying to wind any excess around your buttons will only succeed in ripping open your shirt – not a good look on the 8.15 from Euston. *Mildly sexist joke removed following a heated debate on political correctness*. So the answer, dear headphone wearer, is simple – and its name is Magneat. Don’t leave home without it!

After receiving my magneat a few days ago I was anxious to give it a road test. Being a skateboarder I've always had problems with what to do with headphones, and I have to say. Genius! totally great, my mum's looking to get one now. Thanks firebox!Sam Stevens, Ulverston, Cumbria - 5th September 2010
Is there a limit to the length of cable that can be wound up using this? If so what is the max length? I have dj headphones with a very long cable and would like to know before I buy. Thanks.Amelia, London - 31st August 2010
Firebox says: It is designed for the standard 1.2m cables - any longer cables have not been tested.
Worth the price. If you run or just want to keep your ipod on a short leash (it will be ON you after all) this thing is great. Because there are so many designs, they make great gifts as well. At first I wasn't too sure if it would even work, but that magnet is very strong! I pinched my finger in it a couple of times and it really hurts!J, England - 11th June 2010
I go running and always used to have to tuck my mp3 wires down my top to stop them getting in my way. Since I started using this I don't get tangled wires or wires in my face whilst I run. It's fantastic! The magnet is really strong and stays in place on my clothes even at top speed. Fully recommended!El, South London - 24th May 2010
Very expensive and not particularly effective - your headphone wire wont fit around it, very fiddly to use and expensive. A cotton reel would probably be better than this, spend your hard earned money elsewhere.Stuey, London - 15th December 2009
Do these work with the iphone headphones with speaker/volume control on the wire or does it get stuck?Kate, Exeter - 24th November 2009
Firebox says: Just headphones without volume control we're afraid. Any other headphones will work though!
This product looks great, really want to buy it...but its too expensive!
more designs would be good too. .
any chance of that firebox, please?Holly, Glasgow - 20th November 2009
Firebox says: We'll certainly have a look in to it!
I would like to buy one but I have a question: are the headphones included? I can't see if they are part of the gadget or if it will work with any other headphones. Thank-you for your answer.Clara, Barcelona - 17th November 2009
Firebox says: Headphones aren't included. Hope this helps!
How do you listen to your iPod at the same time?Joe, Dorset - 2nd November 2009
Firebox says: The Magneat simply winds away excess wire, so that you can continue to listen to your iPod without getting tangled up in the process!
I think this is a great idea, My headphone cable was always getting in my way.
Now I dont have that problem with this excellently designed gadget...
Im realy pleased, Love the designs too.
Thanks Firebox ;).Lisa-Jayne, - 24th October 2009
