Brio Labyrinth
Ball balancing brainteaser
You need two steady hands for this!
Just in case you’ve been gawping at video games for your entire life (and that’s entirely possible these days), allow us to explain the basic concept. This multi award-winning game consists of a beautifully made solid birch maze sitting inside a box. All you have to do is to guide a steel ball around the maze by tilting the board using the side knobs.
Sounds easy but the maze is peppered with difficult-to-avoid holes and obstacles. Aargh! The closer you get to the goal, the more points you score. It’s as simple as that. Or not, as the case may be.
Nice and easy now...
Brio Labyrinth can be played alone or by several players. Furthest round the maze wins. Top players have even been known to play against the clock using two balls simultaneously. Cripes!
The makers reckon that this enduring classic is perfect for developing motor skills, concentration, perception and reasoning. It probably is but we’ve been too busy begging for one-more-go to worry about all that.

How sturdy is it since my 1st one I got years ago was smashed to bits after failing to beat it after 24 hours straight of trying?Thomas Lowson, GB - 8th February 2011
Firebox says: Quite sturdy...but will not last an angry beating against a wall!
I'm sorry I don't have a review, but hope to get one soon! One question - how heavy is it with all the packaging? Thank you very much!Laima, Jersey Island - 27th November 2010
Firebox says: Hi Laima. This weighs about 1639grams
This is brilliant. It's so well made for the money and it's really addictive. I bought it for 7yr old nephew and thought I'd get it out of the box to check the condition and now I can't put it back. I can't get past 7th hole and it's still fun!Naomi, South East - 24th November 2010
This is a fantastic game. It's so addictive to play I have to control myself. It's also very funny to see other people try and fail miserable. Quite impressive what's possible with a few wood boards and a metal ball.Renato Golin, Cambridge, UK - 21st February 2010
