Simply add water, mix it, knead it and then model it

Pack comes with four dough sachets in four different colours

Kids love messing about with squishy, garishly coloured modelling clay almost as much as they love eating the stuff. So it’s a mystery why no one has ever thought to make an edible version. At least it was, because Yummy Dough is exactly that. Mmm…baked biscuity dinosaurs!

Completely delicious and 100% safe, this groundbreaking clay can be shaped, baked and eaten. Simply add water, mix it, knead it and then model it into whatever takes your fancy. Once you’re happy with your creation, bung it in the oven for 15-30 minutes and hey presto, colourful biscuits ready to eat!

Ready to eat

Talking of colours, each Yummy Dough pack comes with four dough sachets in four different colours (red, blue, green and yellow), and just like regular playable dough you can mix ‘em up to create new colours (that’ll be brown, then). You also get a moulding tool for intricate details and a leaflet packed with ideas.

Judging by the reaction down at the Firebox crèche, kids absolutely adore this stuff and will happily fiddle with it for hours on end. We’ve seen Spongebob shapes, animal shapes, fishy shapes, flowery shapes, Christmassy shapes - you name it. Some big kid even made an amorphous blob that looked like something a radioactive dog might deposit on the pavement. Oops, sorry…we’ve just heard that was the boss and it was supposed to be duckie.

Model it into whatever takes your fancy

Model it into whatever takes your fancy

Speaking of big kids, we’ve noticed that adults also find Yummy Dough completely unputdownable, especially when they discover they can eat the stuff. Making things with your kids has never tasted so good. So go on, knead something to eat!

visitor avatar Fantastic idea. Great pressie for my son with autism as he tends to eat play dough so he's not allowed it. He could eat this whilst making shapes etc... My other son loved being creative. Needed a bit more water than stated and adult help to mix. We had lots of fun doing this but they were far from 'yummy'! Would buy again for the fun though.

visitor avatar Does this contain artificial colours? I won't be allowed this if they contain them!

Firebox says: It does, sorry!
visitor avatar Why on earth are people going on about this? If they want there kids to go healthy let them eat a balanced diet instead of complaining give it a go.

visitor avatar My children tried it, loved it and as this German product is tested by SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS, one of Europe's leading providers of non-medical laboratory analysis, I have no reservations eating this dough. Only best food ingredients are used and for me the most important point: children have a lot of fun with it and play several hours without TV, DS and other electronic toys....

visitor avatar This Yummy dough is great - the kids love it & so do me & mummy! I'd also like to say Thank You to Firebox for being a great online store.

visitor avatar AAAAH!!! My 3 year old daughter Keris ate the arm of her red gingerbread man before it is cooked, Is that safe? Other than that this product is a huge hit, even if Keris only makes it so she can eat it. This product encourages children to be more creative as they wanna eat it at the end LOL!!!!

Firebox says: Oh dear! The ingredients are perfectly safe to eat but for best results (and taste) you really should bake first and then eat when cooled.
visitor avatar The blue is not very blue, its more on the green side of turquoise. Other wise this stuff is amazing, great fun. Had to add a bit more water to some of the packets but that was about it.
Rick, Aberdeen - 29th October 2010
visitor avatar It was invented in Germany and we have played with it often. My children love it and every time we do it again, they find new figures to create with it. Only very safe foods are used so there is no danger when eating it. Great!!

visitor avatar Having received this my nephew and I were equally excited to get started. It mixed with ease and the colours are pretty good. However I do not feel this product should be called "yummy" dough. "Yucky" would be more suitable although may not sell as well. It tastes of nothing at first but then leaves an awful after taste. Fun to make but best left uneaten!

visitor avatar Tastes terrible! but is good fun :).

Firebox says: Sorry you didn't like the taste but glad you had fun anyway!
