Wrap the money round the clip

Attach your rolled up notes to the CashClip

Running out of money sucks. Just ask an Icelandic banker. More realistically, ask anyone who’s woken up in a taxi minus their wallet. Failing that, ask anyone whose card has been eaten by the cashpoint, or anyone who’s underestimated the price of that final round. We’ve all been there. And that’s why we all need the Cash Stash Keychain.

Simple but ludicrously smart, this unobtrusive little keyring-friendly doodah has been created to store emergency funds. Simply unscrew the capsule, wrap your note(s) around its internal stainless steel CashClip and hey presto – a secret stash of emergency cash. Assuming you don’t lose your keys you’ll never get caught short again.

Pink and Black versions now available

Yes, we suppose you could stuff a score in your sock or shove a tenner where the sun don’t shine, but the Cash Stash Keychain is so much more convenient, not to mention hygienic. Plus we doubt your underwear is made of aircraft grade aluminium. And unless you’re reading this from the care home, it’s probably not waterproof either. Thankfully this sturdy little life-saver is both, so next time you fall into the sea from 39,000ft you’ll be able to buy your rescuers some nuts to go with their shandy.

At just over a fiver, the inexplicably inexpensive Cash Stash (try saying that with a bellyload of beer and a pocketful of lint) is one of the greatest investments you’re ever likely to make. What’s more it makes a stonking gift, especially if you pop a bit of cash inside. If that’s too much of a stretch you can always shove in an IOU. Or a note explaining that you’re tighter than two coats of paint. Or a receipt for £5.99. Result!

I've used a slightly differently designed key ring cash stash for about 10 years and it's been very handy on numerous occasions. The problem with the old one was the largest note you could squeeze in was £10, whereas with this one it's easy to get £20 in (Jim in Sutton Coldfield hang your head in shame). Great gadget.

Would be a better design in the bit that you hook on to your keyring was the bit with the money clip and the other end was the bit you unscrew - Basically- swap the key ring to the other end. That way then if the thing comes undone then you’ve got more chance of keeping the money! Other than that great little thing!

Firebox says: That sounds a sensible suggestion Steve. Glad you are happy nonetheless!
5 stars!, my Dad (who actually designed this!) Always forgets his wallet and has to borrow what little money I have, but now he has this when he asks me I just remind him he has this!!!

Great product to get. My brother has got 2 Fifty Pound notes in it. You just got to wrap them real tight an small and don't use the inner thing.

Like many others, I love the product, but it did unscrew and I lost the bottom, along with a £20 note inside :( So make sure you are very careful, because I hardly ever opened it (for emergencies only), and always made sure it was tight, but unfortunately it can still happen. Really want another one. .

Does anyone know if this is actually fully waterproof? I know it has the water tight ring but does that mean you can fully put it in water (like taking in the sea) and it not leak? Thanks.
